Great meal and friendly staff. The meals were well positioned if not on the larger side. Good price. Highly recommend the coppers mixed seafood.

Tonight they made a basic beef snitz with pepper gravy absolutely tasteless. I think it’s a new chef who sadly changed the pepper gravy recipe. Used to be creamy and smooth not to hot and just right. Tonight was watery and overloaded with peppercorns. Was awful and gave it to my dog. Been eating Lonsdale for years and the quality of food has been on downward spiral since Covid really. The menu is extensive and they have been taking the more interesting meals off and often replacing with boring everyday front bar type choices. I have complained to management and it’s simply bad luck. The Lonsdale kitchen has continued to disappoint me

Was excited to go and try their salmon but apparently their three head chefs were unable to come in due to injuries, covid and holiday so the menu was much smaller, I enjoyed the fried chicken burger I got but kinda wish I had the salmon, maybe when I go back next Ill be able to go it and my review will go to 5 star

I am a frequent customer of the Lonny. Last night I did a phone order for 4 meals and mine wasnt in the bag. When I let them know they were very apologetic and immediately cooked my meal. Whilst waiting for a second time, a staff member came out and gave me a free beverage for the inconvenience! Once I was finally given my meal another staff member informed me that the meal had been recorded but not charged when I paid over the phone - but they were not going to make me pay and gave me my meal on the house! The inconvenience did not bother me but I was extremely impressed by the way the staff handled it!

A very pleasant surprise, with a great ambiance, excellent selection of food and local wines, with friendly staff..Was expecting a more blokey Hotel setting, but was more than impressed..We have come back here again and again to have another serve of the tasty food..I enjoyed my pasta dish so much, I ordered a takeaway order too. Good selection of Gaming Machines. Unique centrepiece fireplace in the Dining area

Been a regular for years,went tonight they give us a piece of paper I thought it was the specials, it was the menu with hardly anything on it,I usually have a steak but they only had ribeye at $45 we left and went somewhere else,sorry guys

We have been regulars of the Lonsdale Hotel for about 10 yrs, but after our meal tonight it is the straw that broke the camels back. For the past 3yrs the service and meals at the Lonsdale have been on the decline, we just put it down to COVID and not being able to get the staff and gave them 4 more tries, all of which were disappointing, but tonight changed all that, we will NEVER be returning to the Lonsdale and we will NOT be recommending it to any of our friends or family.We were a table of 4 and had a booking at 6:30pm, the bistro was full so we expected there would be a bit of a wait. We ordered our meals and were not advised that there would be an extended wait for them. Over an hour we waited and when the meals came there was no apology for the wait time at all.My partner had ordered the main size serving of Garlic prawns and rice, which was $28 and when it came out there were only 8 prawns. When he asked if this was a main size he was advised that it was the size of their main serve.When we were asked how our meal was we said it was disappointing and also complained about it taking over an hour but were simply told they were busy.We were not seeking any refund but simply wanted the staff to acknowledge the wait time and apologise for it. None of which occurred.We understand that they were busy but they took the bookings and knew exactly how many people they had to cater for, and if their kitchen could not cope, how is that the customers fault.Well done Lonsdale Hotel if I could give you zero stars I would. We will never be back.

Wow what an experience tonight. After changing out mind last minute and getting a table with no booking.Very very high service tonightTable water n bread very nicely serviced. Very friendly n polite staff. Quick service and amazing taste of food. Very impressed.Very welcoming place and thanksfull when we left. Honest a new experience at a hotel tonight.Food was very nice ful of flavour and fresh .

Average service, average meal quality, not to fast on food to the table, good size meals, clean bistro, cold beer.Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there, wouldn’t pass up an invite.

On a busy day we under booked and had an extra 5 people. The staff were so accommodating patient and happy to move us around. The food was amazing and cannot praise the staff enough

Came here for fathers day. Food quality and portion size amazing. Service great as usual. Nothing too much trouble for young man who served us and put leftovers in containers . Quick service too

We had lunch at the Lonsdale hotel. I had fish and chips and he had a seafood plate. Both were generous serves. The fish was beautiful as was the beer batter which was light and crispy. The side salads were pretty ordinary and the bread wasnt too fresh. The service was efficient but the server was a bit grumpy.

We made a reservation Saturday night, I also confirmed it Saturday afternoon. When we arrived we were told that there was no table for us (even though my name was on the booking sheetand we could eat in the front bar. When I said that I didn’t want to eat in there, we were told again that there was people on our table and to go to the front bar. The girl then said to hold on and went to serve meals and we stood at the door for 15 min, she did not even bother to come back over to us….Very disappointed

My husband and I stayed here and recieved exceptional service from the gentleman working in the gaming room bar. That customer service is rare to see, every patron was well looked after by him and his professional friendy manner. The food was also amazing, we will definitely be recommending this place to fellow workers who travel. See you next time.

The quality of service given by the staff is beyond reproach.Particular accolades must be given to Nenad in the gaming and bar areas. A charming young man who intrinsically knows what first class service is and delivers it with style and charisma. He possesses a natural ability to make everyone feel important and a valued customer. We dined in your bistro on Wednesday night and waited for an hour before our meals were brought out. No bread was delivered to the table prior. I ordered a Lonny Burger and unfortunately it was not good. The meat pattie was so dry and overcooked it crumbled. It was also over salted. The burger contained coz lettuce which also contained the core. Not a great experience, have given them a few tries now however will dine elsewhere as the standard of service and food is way below par.

I ate there for the first time in 6 years last night after some not-so-fond memories of their food, best hotel meal Ive had in a loooong time.

Ordered an entree of salt and pepper squid for our elderly grandmother with a side of chips, salt and pepper squid was so tough almost like rubber, she managed to eat two of the 5 pieces of squid, after asking for our money back just on the squid happy to pay for the chips we were told we ate most of it and should have asked for it to be re done if we didnt like it and we wouldnt be getting our money back.The man who told us this was agressive and condesending, rest of the staff were lovely. 1 bad experience and we wont be going back we have been going to the lonsdale hotel for about 5 years shocked at this experience.

The staff are great but the meal I had was truly disappointing. Salt and pepper calamari... no salt nor pepper around be tasted on the calamari at all but the aoli that came with the dish was super salty and not only I thought this. Batter on the calamari was extremely oily and I took the majority of the meal home to my dog.

Had a meal in the bistro beef schnitzel and chips with mushroom gravy best Schnitzel I have eaten in Adelaide the mushroom gravy is a must highly recommended to everyone

We have dined here with different age groups, mobility limitations, family and friends.Each time we a greeted by courteous Staff and enjoyed the lovely setting and exceptional meals. Great menu and Service.

One of the Best meals we had,The customer service was better than the restaurants in the city.Highly recommend, best to book to make sure you reserve your seats hate to miss out on the experiences.

I went to dinner last week for a friends birthday here and it was a new pub experience for me. We had a wonderful evening. Delicious food, great ambiance and amazing service.

First time Ive been to The Lonsdale Hotel, the food was amazing and it has a lovely atmosphere.Staff were super friendly and approachable, the food came out quick and it was quite busy.I would highly recommend going here and we will be back again soon.

Our families favourite place for dinner or lunch. The manager is lovely and the food is always amazing. Best gravy and chips. Lonsdale is the best place

This is our 2cd visit in 2 weeks and both times we have had great food and excellent service.In particular the Chefs Vegetarian dish was fantastic even my non veg husband is going to order it next time. You will not go home hungry.Big shout out to the staff for their excellent and knowledgable service. Thanks Janet B

Watch your bank accounts if you order delivery or take away, we complained about a once off meal being bad (thought it was strangegot abused then my bank was debited 2x more times 2 hours after I authorised them too. Out of pocket $180 for over 5 days. Manager says it was a “mistake” unfortunately don’t see how finding card details 2 hours later and entering them into the machine twice is a mistake.Manager also said, they write down card details when they take them on the phone and keep them for a day or two. How uneasy does that make you feel?Outweighs all the good meals we’ve had, you have lost a few very loyal customers.

The staff at The Lonsdale were 11/10. I could not fault them at all. Will definitely be back. If I could give 50 star rating I would. Thanks so much for a great experience especially since there was a wheelchair involved. You guys are the best!

After waiting for over an hour tonight the staff came and asked to take our order again because the printer stuffed up and our order didn’t print. I asked for my money back which they happily did as I had other plans and didn’t want to wait another 45 mins for my food, everyone else at the table stayed and advised it was another 45 minute wait. I understand that these things happen but this is the 3rd time in a row now that it has taken over an for our food. 1 star because they won’t let me give a 0

Great food, generous size proportions, (had to take some home evenlovely staff. Have definitely improved significantly lately. Looking at going back again soon for sure, and re introducing more people back

Have lived local in the area for years & tried this hotel for the first time last night. Meal was fine once we got it. Went with friends & we were a table of 4 & all ordered meals at same time. Our friends meals arrived but not ours. 20 minutes later we asked where our meals were & on checking were told will be another 3 minutes. Our friends had actually well finished eating before our meals arrived. Not even an apology from the staff, nor any effort to make amends given they clearly forgot our order. Was pretty expensive too compared with other pub meals available in the area. Needless to say, this is our first & last visit to this pub

After our booking for 18 people at 715pm on at Saturday night at another pub down the road didnt happen because of their disorganisation, we rang through to The Lonsdale. With 10 minutes notice they had accommodated us with no issues at all.Great menu choices with good sized meals.
