Really good food, excellent service and great value for money. Will definitely go again

A large group of us went for lunch for my birthday. The numbers just kept going up, and we hadnt pre- ordered, but Richard was amazing and just took it all in his stride! We ate in a private alcove which was perfect for the size of the group which ended up being14 adults and 4 children. All the food came out together so no-one was waiting, and it was all delicious and such fantastic value! I had a wonderful special day with family and friends. All the staff were fabulous, but Richard really looked after us. Thank you! We will certainly be back!

Fabulous two course lunch, we all had a different main ranging from fish and chips, sea bass and belly pork. Real fat chips. One of the nicest meals weve had out recently, will definitely return and recommend. Great value, sadly very few in the restaurant but maybe due to it being midweek. Excellent service.

Very enjoyable meal, I chose the small portion of fish and chips, if that was small I cant imagine what large would be like. Value for money indeed!. We were looked after by Hannah who had only been serving a few days she was lovely!!

We had an afternoon tea at the Quarry. It’s a lovely place, with a nice, laid back ambiance and really nice staff. The afternoon tea was of very good quality and is very good value. It’s a good thing I don’t live close by - I might end up visiting more often than my waistline would like!

We Hired the upstairs for an anniversary party. The staff were extremely friendly and discussed organising the event excellently. We arrived to set up early and I had to sweep cigarettes outside the venue myself. We also had to prompt them to pre pour our welcome drinks. One of the soap dispensers were empty in the toilets which we asked to be filled twice and they weren’t. The bins were also not freshly replaced in the bathrooms. All in all the venue was great, very modern and accommodated the guests extremely well. The indoor and outdoor areas were great and they played our own playlist over the speakers. They did clear the buffet without allowing us to save the leftovers, and for what we had payed we did expect to keep the leftover food. Being able to decorate the venue ourselves was also great and we were allowed in 1.5 hours prior to our event beginning. We would recommend this venue but a few points would be appreciated- clean and stocked bathrooms, slightly more attentive staff and offer to keep leftover food. However, we really enjoyed it and thank you for a great party!

Came here for afternoon tea, staff were polite and quick to help us. The food was second to none! Beautiful sandwiches and light desserts.I have to mention they were fantastic when it came to my sons dairy intolerance. They bent over backwards making him his own sandwiches and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream making one happy boy. Followed up with a cup of tea and hot chocolate for the kids. We will be back. A lovely meal and light and airey environment. Thankyou 🙂

Recently grabbed lunch here with friends due to a brief visit in area. The service was excellent, the food very good as was the general feel/ambiance.I had the fish & chips; the batter was crispy and flavoursome, and the chips chunky homemade (delicious). I would certainly eat here again if in the area

As guest to a 60th Birthday Party for my daughter in law. Private room with singer and buffet arranged by her daughters. Very nice place, but found drinks quite expensive. Still everyone had a great time. Surprise party.

I love this area and was in need of a sandwich. I got more!! A “roast of the day” sandwich with home made fries and chef’s gravy!I got a terrific welcome from a charismatic manager - and a feast!!! I can’t wait to go back. Dog friendly too!!! 🤠🕺🐩

Party of 5 (grandson, parents & grandparentsfor Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Clearly, the Quarry only select the best ingredients, the staff were friendly & knowledgable and everything was cooked perfectly. A memorable Sunday lunch and we will return.

I loved everything about this place. Very easy to find, nice and easy to park. Once inside you are made to feel very welcome and I found all the staff very charming and attentive. The food is first class, with some very surprising dishes on the menu along side more traditional favourites. With Steak Night, Burger Night and various other speciality evenings to enjoy, I guarantee that a return visit is aa must for me.

No non dairy options on a Sunday so we couldnt actually eat, there plus we were only told at the table despite having mentioned so in the booking. This was annoying as I have mobility issues and the extra distance required to and from the car was uncomfortable and painful. Looks nice though.

Pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff. The food is good, however I felt it was a little expensive. I had a vegetarian curry which was really tasty, the naan bread (if thats what it was, hard to saywasnt up to much. My only other gripe was the plates werent warmed. You must have hot plates with hot food!

Gorgeous boxing day afternoon here, with the family. Very impressed with the decor and surroundings. We had our own room ( 12 adults, 2 children. Gorgeous soup to start, Gorgeous turkey dinner, ( very generous portionsunfortunately could fit in a sweet, but they looked gorgeous too! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Brilliant afternoon. Will definitely return!!

I would like to say thank you to all the girls and bar man who worked their socks off tonight unbelievable x secondly food outstanding bar a bit of small what we thought was under cooked veg on the liver. I djed at this venue last Friday what an amazing venue clean tidy presentable the staff was lovely all of them. And to top it off the party was good to. Added a photo of the dancers enjoy 100% looking forward to a return. 😁😁

Food was good, staff are friendly but portions were a tight on some dishes. I had eaten my liver and mash ten minutes before everyone else at our table finished their meals. I felt like going to the chip shop to get something to eat. They think a small jug of custard is lashings. Apple crumble came in stingy 75mm carafe with nowhere to put the custard. Put it in a bowl and serve it with lashings of custard if you are going to claim that is what you are selling. I am tired of pretentious restaurants being mean with the bloody custard.

The food was delicious tasty and good portions the service however was not the bestWe were the only table in for an hour no empty glass left our table and we had collected them all in the middle of table for an hour and half and the woman to ask us to move them too the end of table for her when we asked her to move them. Every drink got served with no emptying of table or cleaning.Could be a quality restaurant if quality of service picked up.

The only place that would serve us all, I admit there is a lot of us but we are one family. Service was amazing and staff were polite as well as attentive. The food was gorgeous but slightly expensive and there were a few errors such as missing food and mixed up orders like ordered a kids meal but got an adults, however staff were highly apologetic. Would go again.

Booked for a working hot desk today with lunch. Worked really well, lovely team, lunch was beautiful and such a treat! Yorkshire pudding wrap was delicious. Will be re visiting to work there.

Wow. Utterly delicious a last minute decision to go out for dinnerHad the specials of pork wrapped in bacon and chicken wrapped in bacon both with amazing accompaniments. Eaten here lots but tonight the food was better than some Michelin star place and it’s on our doorstep.Lewis, Ellie, Isaac and Dani, keep up the good work. Absolute credit. Came today for Father’s Day and the food and service was absolutely fantastic! Definitely recommend and will definitely be going back…

Initially thinking it was a normal pub/bar I was surprised when I walked in and was faced with a greeting point. This was the only dissatisfaction I was faced with as the gent welcoming guests was incredibly cold and felt unwelcoming.We only came for drinks and felt unwelcome for these. We were then taken to the outside terrace and seated at a table We had no choice of thinking this was the norm although whilst there another (straightcouple were given a choice although by a different team member.The service once seated though was amazing. The building and layout is stunning and I would definitely return unless I walked into the same welcome as I did today.Honestly it would have been a 5 star review were it not a negative welcome as the lady serving us drinks was so friendly and a pleasure to be served by.

Service was very good, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Had a table for 2 on Saturday evening and had a really good time. Its been recently refurbished and theyve done a great job of it.Theres the bar area upstairs if you only want drinks or the restaurant downstairs if youre dining out, both refurbished to a high standard.Would definitely recommend paying a visit

Staff were all very friendly and the place is done up to a high standard. But the food just wasnt all that great Im afraid. The pastry on the steak and ale pie I had was fine enough, but the meat inside was very dry and the gravy was so bland. The mashed potato had more flavour! We could have caught them on an off night perhaps.

Nice environment, good food, but the service needs to be sharpened up a bit. The staff were lovely, but a drinks order was missed, an incorrect item on a dessert, vanilla ice cream not available etc. Ill try it again though.

Honestly one of the best meals Ive ever had. Very reasonably priced, outstanding service from the staff, and beautiful food. As a party of 9, they could not do more to accommodate and make sure that we were well looked after. We will definitely be going here again!

Not been before but hear mixed reviews, but I always like to make my own mind up. We received a warm welcome and were shown straight to our table. The waiting staff were fantastic, very polite, friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. The service was speedy, whilst still making us feel very relaxed. Food was very good and we all enjoyed it. Will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great evening and compliments on the quality of your staff and their service 😁
