Beautiful, historic farm that witnessed the attack on Sickles salient on the afternoon of July 2nd 1863. The troops from Barksdale’s Confederate Brigade passed through here in their fight against the Union Army 3rd Corps.
Beautiful farm ❤
A beautiful and historic farmhouse and barn on the Gettysburg battlefield.
Beautiful ground and museum and visitor center. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. The museum is very informative and relatively priced. The park and museum and visitors center is all very clean and well taken care of. I recommend visiting on a nice day to tour the grounds and see everything.
Although the location of the farm is very historic and a must visit spot while in Gettysburg, the interior of the building has been remodeled to appear historic.
A beautiful location frozen in time as if it were preserved from early July 1863. Minnie ball holes still peppered throughout the exterior and interior walls, this place takes you back to those horrible three days. I feel lucky to have stayed here as a guest of history.
Whoever takes care of these orchards is a hero.
57th PA Infantry Regiment monument is to the right as you look at the farm house. Relative Capt George Clark commanded a company of this regiment during the Battle of Gettysburg.
Nicely preserved historic site on Gettysburg Park
