Nice place to watch football in a Sunday morning. Good food and drinks.
We heard this place was excellent and it proved to be even better! The staff was awesome. We tried a little bit of everything.. the absolute best ribs Ive ever had! They fell off the bone and the blueberry BBQ sauce was superb with just a hint of sweet blueberries and a spicy base. The tri-tip sandwich was delicious. The pork belly came with a spicy garlic chili sauce that my friend loved (a bit too spicy for me.The pulled pork tacos were delicious, with the pulled pork just as tender as the ribs. And yes, absolutely I agree with the review that caused me to order them, the garlic tots are the bomb!
Everything was super good! Will be back.
Tried a variety from their menu, pulled pork, ribs, tri-tip, garlic tots and pork belly...all delicious and did not disappoint! Will definitely be back.
Great appetizers. Had a few (4smoked Old Fashions. Excellent day, and left with a Twisted Pig T-shirt. Don’t get much better than that.
Food was ok service was horrible and they were not even busy. Sad could be a cool place
Came here by chance on a date night after the place my wife wanted to go decided it was Vegan only night. Food was excellent as well as the service. Definitely will go again.
Beer wasnt very cold and the burger was not worth 5 dollars much less $16 the bun was old no flavor at all!
I came in during lunchtime and was greeted warmly and sat quickly. The food was pretty good and the ambiance was perfect. I did notice they do karaoke and would definitely return to try something different and try out their karaoke night. They are sort of hidden, but are visual from the road in a business park.
Love this spot for their unique drinks, homey atmosphere, good music, and delicious eats! Coming on the days that Candace is bartending makes for an absolute treat. There are also lighter fare options which can be a surprise since the name entails 🐖.
A lady wouldnt put something that looked like that in her mouth in public. Look at the pictures. There were 3 pieces of fish and they all looked like the one in the picture. Olive garden breadsticks are PG-13 compared to these XXX fish sticks. They tasted good with tartar sauce. They do not have cocktail sauce (no pun intended). Did they cook them in this shape on purpose? There are details in the picture that point toward yes.The ribs and fries were ok. They both had adequate and appropriate flavor. The cooking staff have a lot of work to do to get their sides up to par.Awesome tots were not awesome. They werent even good. The pulled pork on top was sticky sweet, too sweet, cloyingly sweet. The flavors of EVERYTHING that was piled together to make awesome tots were not complimentary toward each other. It appears there has been no effort made to balance the flavors, edit the dish and perfect the dish. It feels like someone just wanted to throw together whatever they had already available in the kitchen to sell an appetizer for $14.75. It looked and sounded awesome, but it was awful. The mac n cheese was awful. It looks the right color of yellow and it looks like a gooey, delicious comfort food, however it had almost no taste. It had just a slight burnt/bitter taste like you would expect of a beer cheese, but not a good savory cheesey taste at all. Not even a little salty. It is unbelievable that it lacked delicious flavor because it looked alright. The mashed potatoes had almost no flavor also. There was a very slight hint of garlic, but they mostly tasted like water. No butter flavor, no milk flavor, no creamy flavor, no salt, not even an adequate garlic flavor, heck, not even a potato flavor... Like water. The coleslaw was awful too. Almost no flavor.Someone needs to taste-test the food every now and then to make sure it tastes good. Management and every cook need to know what this food tastes like so that it can be made right. You cant just make food and send it out for customers to eat if you have no idea if it tastes good. Just because it looks fine does not mean it tastes good. The food coming out of this kitchen should be savory and craveable. There is no good reason why this kitchen is making so many foods that dont taste good. It is managements job to taste-test the food and figure out why this is happening and fix it.I wasted a lot of money.I would never order the awesome tots, mashed potatoes, cole slaw or mac n cheese again.Loud bar atmosphere.A place for heavy drinkers. Not a good environment for kids.Karaoke outside on patio (bad singing not heard inside).Note to management:Please try mac n cheese at the following places:Chicken Barn (McHenry Ave.)Chic-fil-A (Manteca)Flying J (truck stop in Ripon)Dickeys BBQ (Lathrop)Please try mashed potatoes at the following places:Cool Hand Lukes (Riverbank)Red Lobster (Modesto)Please try coleslaw at the following places:KFC (Dale Rd.)Sams Chowder House (Half Moon Bay)Its product/competition research. You might even be able to write it off.....
Couldnt get service. Bartender was too busy giving locals their rounds of shots midday on a Monday. Realized real fast what kind of place it was.
Friendly place great people and awesome customer service food was delicious and well cooked. I had a the salmon plate just perfect not over cooked And prices are very reasonable must stop by and try it out they also have karaoke night.
My 1st time dining at the Twisted Pig, I must say, the Service was Great! The food is absolutely Delicious and Fresh! The atmosphere is very inviting, comfortable and pleasant! The Garlic Fries are Fire 🔥 😋 the best Ive ever had! Not only was the entire staff kind and considerate our server was very knowledgeable about the menu; their Honest People, my phone fell out of my pocket in the booth we were sitting at. We called the restaurant soon as I noticed and was told we have it here behind the Bar!The Bartender recognized me soon as I walked back in.Thank you!
Overall: Good, but not great.Atmosphere was great!! Just a little smallService was eh, but it was kinda busy so thats understandable.Food was decent but there were a few issues. There was a consistent lack of seasoning Everything was a bit bland.Another issue was the bbq sauce(pretty important for a bbq placeit was.. well... Weird. It taste mostly of steak sauce which would be totally cool for some people.I just dont think itd work for a majority of people and or at least not for me or my family.(We actually ended up taking most of our food just so that we could go home and use our own home made BBQ sauce 😬 )Last thing was mac and cheese, it was underwhelming. Taste slightly of onion/garlic and thats about it not a trace of cheesey-ness (artificial or otherwise)-Add another (or few moreoptions for bbq sauce.-Rethink the Mac n cheese-up the spices!we d absolutely LOVE to come back. If some changes are made
Ate here for the first time. The Cuban sandwich was really good. It had tender meat and a nice crisp bread with a nice flavor. Im giving 4 stars because we ordered the pulled pork sliders and I was kinda disappointed with the ratio of meat to bun. I could barely taste the meat which was good (when I tried it by itself..a lil drybut it had more cabbage and bun. It needed more of the bbq sauce (which we requestedand used it as a dip. The cheese curds were cold by the time we recieved it so I didnt care too much for it.
I knew walking in I was going to like this place. Wife and I tried for first time and glad we did. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Food was great and fast. Drinks also good and prices reasonable. My kind of place and a good vibe....Will be back for sure.
Everything was great! From the Food! Drinks! And the Employees where great!! The place was so upbeat and relaxing in one! Definitely going back. Karaoke yall 🎤 Tuesdays..
Friendly atmosphere, great people, good food. My family loves to eat here and the garlic tots are amazing.
Had the salmon burger , was delicious. And obviously has some beer which they have a good selection off. Definitely try it out
I was not impressed by this place.Asked for two Tri Tip sandwiches with now BBQ Sauce and received two sandwiches soaked in BBQ sauce.Frankly, I would rather gone to Arbys - another sub par BBQ joint. Good thing they sell alcohol and drink people will eat this food.Waste of $ 40 Dollars!!!
First visit. Looking for something new in area. Service was meh even though I didnt see many customers on a Monday early evening. A guy and kid daughter sitting near us must be regulars because the staff spent a lot of time chatting at their table and ignoring us. The food was okay but nothing to take a photo of, so I didnt. My Pig-loma drink was WAY overpriced but tasty. Well stick with downtown restaurants.
Had the bourbon Chipotle burger and it was great! The garlic tots are also amazing. They have lots of great sounding menu items and I will definitely be back
I placed an online order expecting that it would be ready by the time I got there as I had allowed 25 mins; however when I got there the bartender told me she had not seen the notification come through on the tablet sitting directly in front of her. She told me it would be an additional wait of 20-25 mins. I was not happy about that, but chose to wait. In the meantime I ordered a beer (I was tired and hungry since I came back from a 21mile hiking trip the previous day). The man next to me made a comment about how the bartender should continue to miss orders placed online as it would draw more business because people would buy drinks. I smiled it off. Before the food came I asked the bartender that I’d rather eat there instead of to-go since it would be fresh. Shprovide silverware, but when the food arrived it was in a to-go container. I was expecting it to be on a plate. All while waiting the dining area was relative busy, but not overly busy. She had enough time to stand and watch the Warriors game that was playing and casually speak to the man at the bar; he must be a regular since it seemed like they’ve interacted before. So with that being said, I’m not sure how the online order I placed was not seen. It wasn’t THAT busy. I would also like to mention the hot chicken sandwich I ordered was nothing like the IG picture (insert laughing emojiit was very basic and blah. I also ordered mashed potatoes that were relatively warm. My first experience there and I must say I won’t be going back. I felt bad not leaving a tip, but she really didn’t do anything for me and I think should have discounted the beer or even comped it to make up for the waiting period. Idk, that’s just me. I usually don’t leave reviews, but felt I had to. Save your money and go to a better place!
Drove almost 2hrs to meet friends here and so glad we did. Fantastic food! Excellent service! Well stocked bar!We had totchos (tater tot nachos), salad, mac n cheese, tri tip, pulled pork, and chicken. We couldn’t decide which was the weakest link because they were seriously all excellent. Nothing was over cooked nor over seasoned. The staff are kind and attentive. The place itself is clean, even the bathrooms! 10/10 would recommend.
We had a surprise anniversary/ birthday party for our sister and brother in law today and the food was excellent! We ordered tri tip pulled pork and chicken with a “Tatcho” bar for appetizers. The crowd of forty loved it and the staff and owners are top notch and accommodating. Highly recommended for a get together in their “Boars nest” room. They have an excellent brunch as well!! Thank you Mike and Clint! Outstanding!!
Any place that not only lets me Bring my German Shepard and Belgium Shepard to eat and also serves them water and also grill up some chicken gets my seal of approval food was great price was perfect I plan to make weekly trips there
2 stars only because of the friendly staff. After 45 minutes of waiting at 3 in the afternoon and no food we left paying for only our soda and cider. I thought hitting up this spot at off peak lunch hours would alleviate a long wait time but alas I did not read the rooms red flag upon entry where everyone seated looked sad and tired and tried anyway since the food looked so promising and yummy online. Bummer as I am a huge pork belly fan.
I Ordered the Fish and Chips, as it was rated a Favorite.Mine was over done, All Batter and very little Fish. I could only eat one out of the Three served, .Service was good, and food was delivered Timely.
Good service, decent beer selection, tasty food. Will provide more details after my next visit.
Nice little spot in Modesto. The staff was nice. The space was quiet and they had multiple TVs on that you could watch while grabbing a beer. The only problem was the beer selection. You can have a Lager or IPA, take your pick. No variety. No reds, brown, porters, stouts, pilsners, ales, etc.In short, nice enough place but if youre looking for a good beer selection, there are better options.
The food was great !! Service was great. Will definitely go back.
Great food for a decent price. Really enjoyed the burger that I had would recommend again.
First time there for my wife and I. We had brunch. Fantastic good. Our waitress made us feel right at home. Great service. We will visit again soon 👍
I started going to this bar and grill when they first opened and i still to this day eat there at least 2 times a week . If you want to try a burger that is beyond your comprehension good then i say 1 thing. Try the boss burger and you will be hooked. Wothout a doubt the BESTburger i have ever eaten. [ well except my moms]
Great place! Good food and friendly service. Ordered the Stone Stone Hazy and it was delicious! Upon request they even gave us some nice coasters to take home and add to our collection.
Friendly service, super chill spot. Food is amazing. I got the garlic fries and the kitchen sink burger it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
We waited 1.5 hours and only received 1 appetizer. The entire restaurant was full. No one had food on their table the entire time. When I worked there for the previous owners, that did not happen. The manager did not do anything to make up for all the time wasted. Sad thing is, We drove from Sacramento. Just to eat here. Never again. Go to Divine Swine or Skewers if you want a great experience. As a future restaurant owner, I am ashamed of how they "handled" the situation. Needless to say, we left.
Called their number and they changed it but never changed online. Ordered on site and took 40 min. I ordered the pork sandwich and there were black flakes in the meat, could have come from an uncleaned grill??? Or a pan that the coating was coming off. Fries were terrible. Never again. The bartender was nice, thats about it.
Celebrated 2nd anniversary at Twisted Pig. Relaxed fun atmosphere. Good food. Did I mention the Bloody Mary? If not, let me mention it!! And big shout out to Griffin. Very attentive and pleasant. Definitely, we will go back.
Great food great service great atmosphere. I under the impression they are expanding the building and remodeling the outdoor patio area soon.
Stopped in today for the first time because I have been wanting to try it out. Great place to watch the games on Sunday as it was not too busy and they have plenty of tvs! Had the Bloody Mary and it came just the way I like it spicy and basically filled with appetizers! My daughter got the Twisted Mac and I got the Tri Tip Dip. We ordered the Belly Bombs for an appetizer. Wait was a little long but waitress informed us it was because the cooks were short staffed, which didnt bother us because we were enjoying the game. Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked that means a lot to me, all too often restaurants and bars neglect their bathrooms and it tells a lot about the work ethic in said location. Next time we dine here we may try the outdoor area and see what thats all about.
Get the Belly Bombs and thank me later. They are crisp, rendered pork belly strips over a bed of spring greens - but the real hero is the sauce. It’s bright, acidic, a little kick and all the flavor.
Had the special Pork Belly. Pretty good but a little chewy however I think just the nature of beast. The drink fantastic.
We have not been here in a while. We came back due to having great experiences in the past. This time was ok. I ordered the Blackjack Burger and my wife had The Cuban. We both ordered fries as our side. The service was very good and the wait staff is friendly. The meal portions are good. My gripe with my experience is that the bacon 🥓 on my burger was rock solid hard. The menu is much smaller than our prior visits. I noticed that they don’t keep the restaurant as clean as they should. I was constantly smelling the stale beer and dirty mop water floors. Light fixtures look like they have never been cleaned. My experience wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t good.
This place used to be fire, but then they just started to go down with me, Id always ask for a well done burger and always serve me a raw inside burger, not even medium rare like straight up raw. I order a meal for me and my brothers once a bone was found in the patty. 🤢 a hard round-ish bone.
The bar and food are both unique and delicious in there own right you wont find another place like it today was the first time I had the chance to eat here and it was so good I came back twice !! I started the with the belly bomb which was a perfect combo of sweet salt and spice my brain exploded the went to THE WORKS and then came back for the AMAZING TOTS which were soooooo good I couldnt even manage a picture because i ate them too quickly definitely a MUST GO TO SPOT
Always a fun spot to sit at the bar. The cesar salad was really good. Plenty of chicken and great flavor. I had the basil margarita, it was good but could have used some more acid. They use nice wine glasses and offer good wine selections. The bartender was friendly and the vibe is always fun.
Great place to have a meal or have a drink they have a bar area and an outside area they play music and have plenty of hanging t.v. screens the food is delicious and the staff are very nice definitely recommend this place.
The food was good. The customer service also good. Loved the drink I ordered, especially. Most bar and grill food Ive had have been mediocre at best. I was impressed with the food at this place though.
