TipsyCow Bar & Grill in Province of Cavite
Went here to get brunch with my sister and a friend of hers. I ordered the breakfast burger and a side of orange juice. For the burger, you get to pick how you like the egg done (I went with sunny side upand then asked if you want a side salad or tator tots.Overall, food was decent, as I did enjoy what I ordered. Im not a huge fan of bacon, so the thicker cut of it that comes on the burger might be more appreciated by someone who is and I think the cup that orange juice comes on could be improved. They serve it in what I imagine is the same glass thats used in alcoholic drinks, so its a fairly skinny glass. For $5, youre paying a lot for such a small serving and remember, its just orange juice. If youre concerned about parking, there are some spaces in the back, but if you decide to venture into the neighborhood just behind the place, youll find plenty of options, so its manageable.
MoreYou order at the bar, the menu wasnt correct, we ordered 2 sliders, chicken and deep fried pickles. The pickles were good. The sliders had no flavor. Spent almost $30 for what? Sorry, wont be back.Waste of time and money!
MoreLove this place. Visiting from out of state and wish I could take it with me. Great service, good food, excellent drinks. Bartender made a small mistake but he went above and beyond to fix it.
MoreI never got to the burger, the fries and tater tots were so hot and delicious I saved the burger for later. However, the others said the fries and tots were better then the burger. Either way, the food was good to all.
MoreReally good collection of drinks (Whisky, Whiskey, Bourbon, Tequila), the cocktails are okay, honestly felt a bit watered down. The blue cheese tater tots are heavenly delicious! Tight bar, nice crowd, good place to chill.
MoreMy friend and I went for a late lunch and enjoyed the Happy Hour. We ordered: The salmon tacos - yummy! 😋 The Mac and Cheese- pure goodness. The Basil Hummus is good the toast points that is served with the humus are fantastic! To make it healthy, we ordered the Tavern Chop-delicious. We went a bit overboard, and had a lot left over. But. So worth it! I look forward to going back!!
MoreVery standard spot with tavern fare, decent draught beer selection and a cocktails. The Texas bbq burger was decent and the service was great. Hard to have a conversation on the outdoor dining section as the tables are very close together and the road noise of Ventura Blvd is a lot to compete with
MoreNice and refreshing $5 happy hour Froze et great burger.
Not worth it!Food felt thrown together with no actual flavor. It’s one of those places where you order through your phone and the experience/service suffers because of it.Prices are not terrible? And it’s conveniently located. But otherwise, not worth the trip** the smash burger was pretty good
MoreAbsolutely love this place!!!! Great food great, great drinks and awesome prices highly recommended! Cheers !
MoreThe burgers are excellent! The shakes are great and massive. Save some room for it.
MoreKeep driving past this place.Self seating and extremely disorganized servers. We were asked multiple times if we ordered whatever food the server was holding because they didnt know where it going. Watched our food and drinks walk by and eventually stopped them to say it was ours.Food was awful. Ordered short rib poutine and a burger with tater tots with bbq sauce. Paid, but never got the bbq sauce. Burger was a preformed patty that had no flavor. Tater tots were mushy and smashed at the bottom of bowl they were served in.Poutine fries were gross. Super soggy and thin fries. Gravy was too fatty and no flavor. Cheese was congealed when it got to the table.Drinks were inconsistent. Ordered 2 tipsy mules and each tasted completely different. One was undrinkable with a bitter lime rind flavor.Never coming back here.
MoreYou can make any burger veggie. So delicious. Kid friendly place too.
Good beers. The burger sliders are very tasty. The chicken wings were a bit dry (for feedbackbut I still ate them all. I would totally come back.
Moreworst customer restaurant we went to the restaurant and no one came to assist us or take our order! we left and had much better food i’d never go again we waited 30 minutes and table was so dirty
MoreI ordered 2 palomas i honestly dont know what they gave us. I asked to change the drink it was impossible to drink. I received a margarita and it was not better it tasted like the same drink with sweet and sour in it. We left the drinks on the table. I say stick to beer.
MoreGot happy hour. Burger sliders and salmon tacos were good. Didnt care for the Paloma, ended up leaving more than half the drink on the table. The drink was not good in my opinion.
MoreSolid little neighborhood bar with a great happy hour menu. Plenty of little bites to eat, that are quite good considering the price. Cauliflower bites are pretty tasty. Usually has a decent crowd, but there’s always room to walk up
MoreI really liked the garbanzo beans in the salad. That and the frozen rose was so refreshing! The vibe of the bar is also inviting. I would go back with friends.
MoreThe best thing I can say is that my friends and I are relieved that we won’t ever have to eat here again. The online ordering system was ponderous, esp when one of our only waitress visits was to tell us that they don’t make eggs as we requested. We chose one of the two options on the menu. When requesting water, she pointed inside the restaurant and pointed, saying that was where the water station was. When our cocktails arrived, my friend asked which one had the beef jerky. Waitress didn’t know what my friend was talking about. Once waitress confirmed the jerky came with the drink, she brought it. After that, no one cared about us.
MoreAbsolutely love this place. The salads are to die for. Im not usually a beef person, but the burgers are great.
MoreThe boozy shakes here are even bigger, better, and boozier than I expected. The staff is friendly. And the vibes are great. Will be back!
MoreOne star for the beer menu, one star for the decor. Service started off well with the bartender helping us choose a beer. Then we never saw him again. Bartender vanished another appeared, she never checked on us. So we sat for 20-30 minutes without anyone asking us if we wanted another beer (which we did!). Just decided to cash out, said “thanks” but no response. Just sort of tossed the check at us. Unfortunately, we won’t be back. Tons of other good energy places on Ventura.
MoreMy bf got injured at this location because he ran into some glasses in a tiny hallway that is shared with Buvette. The manager never bothered to investigate. Once I told her what happened she called her boss and lied to her in our faces. Said she offered medical assistance which she never did. Then proceeded to say that what I thought didn’t matter because she wouldn’t be speaking to me but to my bf which she never called to check to see if he was ok. Even though it wasn’t a major injury.. what if it were...Poor customer service, careful with the hallway you might scrape your knees.
MoreMac Daddy burger. Beef and pork belly were super tender and the Mac stayed on the burger. Also had peanut butter cup shake 👍👍👍
MoreHidden gem! In a street full of bars, I think this is my favorite. We went on a Saturday night and they had a 2-for-1 drink happy hour that STARTS at 9pm; Ive never seen happy hour prices be for peak hours, so thats awesome!Drinks were unique, tasty, and reasonably priced, with a classy but casual ambiance.
MoreLovely weekend brunch n cocktails in Sherman Oaks
We had the chicken sliders and deviled eggs, they were both really delicious!! We also ordered two drinks which we didn’t end up finishing (which sucked cause they were $7-$11 eachbecause they were just way too strong and didn’t have much other flavor. I’ll probably stick to a Diet Coke next time or try a shakeIf I had to rate the service I’d give a 3/5 stars. The general vibe was not super friendly and there were multiple times we had to get up or go out of our way to ask for things (they served us our food with no plates, and we were eating on our napkins since nobody was around). The staff also had a table that seemed to be just for them, and our server was eating a full meal with her back turned to us- kinda made me feel like I would be interrupting when I did need something.Overall it was good, but I just have different expectations for next time!
MoreWhats not to love? Burgers and a full bar with a friendly, "happy to have you here" staff. Its a bar on the Boulevard, but it has a very neighborhood bar feel. No pretense, no fussiness. Simple, straightforward bar menu done very well in a relaxed, service oriented atmosphere. Perfect for a night out with friends.I had the mushroom Swiss burger. It was cooked perfectly and bun was a thing of delight.
MoreLooking for a place to have food & drinks. They advertised "Open till Midnight", so we decided to go there specifically since it was 9pm. Good atmosphere & selection of beers. Food was good, but they messed up or order & we werent severed our whole order until after three other couples ordered & served, 🥺. Also we had planned to hang out & have more drinks, but they had last call at 9:45. Not too happy about getting rushed out the door.
MoreSo I’ll definitely have to come back because they were out of Mac and cheese and the crab dip is no longer sold. They have daily happy hours (see belowand I want to give them a try then. I ended up ordering the black and blue burger with tater tots ($4and a blue moon. Everything was good, I definitely recommend a side of ranch with the tater tots. The venue itself is cozy with a modern industrial feel, it was pretty dim inside, not sure if it’s always like that. Overall this was a pleasant experience for my first solo dinner in LA.
MoreGreat Happy Hour…. Drinks $5.00 food $ 6.00 cool chill place
Delicious food and great place to people watch.Although service was really slow, we had a lot of fun.Burger was a little overcooked.
MoreAwesome place! Came here late at night for a dinner and beer. I had the big texan burger whuch was huge and delicious! Our server was also incredibly nice and friendly and treated us like we were longtime friends! Everyone was so helpful and nice and the overall vibe was chill. They have a good happy hour here so I have to pass by for that soon. Definitely recommend.
MoreGood food during Happy Hour and nice servers! Servers are covering indoors and outdoors so they’re really busy, but we never had any trouble with order more drinks and food.
MoreIt is an amazing place to have good food, good drinks and laughter. Melanie our waitress was excellent, we have visited 😊 2 days in a row, best happy hour ever😀😍.p.s dont sleep on the salmon tacos, they will have you hooked 😋.
MoreThe Tipsy Cow is a great local spot that you can come to again and again.Easy street parking on a weekday evening. I could clearly hear my friend from across the table which is sometimes tough to find in a bar atmosphere. Great service, although the waiter kept bumping into my chair as he was passing by. I wish he could have walked around. A minor inconvenience for him, but an easily more pleasurable experience for me. We also had a wobbly table, but our server fixed it immediately. We were pretty comfortable otherwise. I loved the neighborhood bar vibe.We had the Short Rib Poutine. This is hands down one of the must order items here. It might be the best poutine I’ve had. I nearly had a fist fight with my friend, Den, over the last bite! The Black and Blue Burger was good, but it was overcooked. A big deal for me. I asked for Medium Rare, and it came out Well. The tots were delicious as well, and to wrap it up I had an alcoholic shake called Good Talk Russ. It was wonderful and had peanut butter, bananas, and marshmallow fluff. They actually have monthly shakes, and an alcoholic dessert can be dangerous, but I’d certainly order another.I had a taste of my buddy’s food. The Lamb-burghini and his Onion Rings, and both were great. It’s a good solid menu here. I’d love to come back and try more of what they have.
MoreTipsy Cow is a nicely designed, comfortable and intimate space offering upscale comfort food with a couple of vegetarian options.I had an Old Fashioned to drink. It’s their only whiskey-based cocktail on the menu and whiskey is my go-to. I thought it was a little harsh tasting relative to other Old Fashions I’d had recently and nearby but points to them for the single large cube of ice in the middle. You can get any burger with a plant-based Beyond Burger patty available. My wife got one lettuce-wrapped. (They also offer a gluten-free bunShe thought it was a little overcooked (She likes her beyond burgers juicy and pink.), but generally enjoyed it, including the spicy “1000 sauce” it came with. She had ordered it without onions and it came with them anyway. (ahh the curse of special orders…She thought the butter lettuce was nice as a wrap.I had The Tipsy Style Burger, subbing bbq sauce for the 1000, with a beyond patty. I liked it.I got tots on the side because I wasn’t in the mood for thin-fries or sweet potatoes. Our server was nice and dealt with all of my jokes about the decor. (The walls were decorated with knives and a big roll of butcher paper…my mind wandered at the possibilities.)The atmosphere was cool with good music playing and there were families present letting us know they were kid-friendly as well. Also on the menu for vegetarians are a few sides, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Blue Cheese Tots, Fried Cheese Curds and Buffalo Cauliflower plus salads. (The Beyond Burger is the only main option, but that’s okay since this is primarily a burger place. You can get shakes too to blend your desire to be in an upscale new-American burger joint that offers a nouveau 50’s diner menu. Though there are plenty of places up and down the boulevard that offer one plant-based patty or another so, although we had a fine experience here we’d probably try other places before coming back.
MoreVery nice place to eat if youre in the mood for a burger. The food isnt cheap but definitely isnt expensive. Burgers are around 15 bux... Add fries and a drink on top and your looking at around 25 bux for a meal. Its worth it. The food is delicious and you can tell they take their time to prepare it right. Id consider this place to be on the higher end of the quality spectrum. Me and my girlfriend both enjoyed our food and we think you will too. Highly recommended!
MoreThis is a great place to go if your looking for a good variety of food and stay within the budget. The food is well cooked and the sauces this place are awesome. I would have to say if you go here you must try the donuts with carmel sauce. Also the staff is real cool.
MoreGreat burgers and good selection of beers. The haystack fries are great. The only problem is finding parking. They have a small lot in the back and metered parking on the street.
MorePretty good spot liked the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Got the classic burger, a little bit of a challenge to eat but was well made non-the-less. Would recommend.
MoreOverpriced burgers made with no flavor...good intentions, bad execution.Service is very slow so order as much as you can instead of waiting for next dishes. Might give another shot if Im in area and everything else is packed, and if theres parking available and happy hour....
MoreEdit:(Four stars)Ha! Well that didnt take long. Its still (May 2018and the plant based burger is back on the menu. Boom.Original post: (one star)Used to be THE place to get the best plant-based burger in the valley. Recently (may 2018they decided to replace the amazing plant-based burger ($12with the utterly forgettable and totally overpriced "impossible" burger($17), which is not good. I used to eat there 2-3 times a week. I dont plan on ever going back now. (Unless they bring back the plant-based burger)
MoreI’ve gotten Tipsy at Tipsy Cow! It happens! Lol #humor On a more serious note the food is delicious the burgers boy oh boy are they huge and juicy! Ive had “The Big Texan” (which i have a picture of really big burger in person toodefinitely recommend!! Tender, gourmet and reasonably priced. You get a huge patty of beef with a slab of pork that is so tender and tasty and tiny onion rings that are crispy and good. Happy hour is a must! Decent drinks and food. Great atmosphere you definitely can talk and hear yourself think because the music is not too loud. Thats a plus. And the customer service is actually great! This is my local go to when i just want to relax have a drink and hear some tunes. Go get Tipsy! Moo.
MoreYummmmy! My favorite local spot for drinks and food, bartenders are pretty cool. Never disappoints me. I had the Black and Blue Burger, Ventura lemonade, Philly Rib Cheesesteak, Texas Burger, Buffalo Wings, and MAC Burger on different visits.
MoreFood was ok. Nothing worth writing home about. I got the Ahi burger and it was bland, no flavor at all. They have an average beer and wine selection, nothing great. Service was subpar, was only offered one refill during our meal. With so many choices on the Blvd you would think they would step it up.
MoreThis restaurant so cool. From the food to the wide selection of beer they have available. We stopped here today for brunch and Im so glad we did. As I mentioned earlier, they have a wide selection of beer all of which you can try because they offer $2 butcher sized glasses. Great idea.I decided to have the "Elvis" waffle and it was great. A waffle topped w/ peanut butter, whip cream, and chocolate syrup. This was probably one of the best waffles Ive had in a while. The way the peanut butter and chocolate syrup mixed made this feel like a dessert more than a breakfast dish. The service was also above average. Our waitress came and checked on us multiple times and never let too much time go w/o seeing how we were doing. I give this place two thumbs up and Ill gladly make more trips to the valley just to get another "Elvis" waffle. I would give this place a 5 star rating if it werent for the fly that was constantly bugging us at our table.
MoreIt is overpriced but in this location, what can you complain ?! Food is decent and tastes good! Get their tipsy fries for sure! For the sake of your wallet, you can go during happy hour, which is 4-7pm Mon to Fri, and 10- closing time 7days a week! So good!
MoreThe burger I had was very tasty! Great place with a bar. Outdoor seating available and the staff was very attentive.
