Routinely get sushi. Good quality and tasty. Spicy mayo taste is inconsistent at times, but satisfied with offering overall.
Food & service were decent but not meeting the normal teppanyaki standard. The steak was overcooked and too much seasonings on the scallops that I could not taste the meat. Bunch of fellow Soldiers went out for dinner on Veterans day and it was difficult to even receive a discount that the waitress had to hand-carry and show her manager our CAC(Military IDfor approval although I cleared it with receptionist when check-in.Over-priced for the quality of food. Definitely not military-friendly.
Delight fillet tasty food… Good mix traditional and sushi. Top notch service and reasonable prices
Excellent place! Great atmosphere, great service, food was good! My only critique is..... the food was served too too fast. There wasnt enough time in between courses. Apps, immediately followed the rice/veggies and on to the main course. 3 courses and we were in and out. Other than that I recommend. Definitely worth a trip.
A full fun experience especially if someone in your party has a birthday. Watching the master chefs do their thing will keep a child and adult in their seat. Have fun!
Great dinner. Lots of fun sitting at the grill. I had thegrilled ribeye. Huge portion! Definitely going back.
Good food. Lots of fun. Great drinks. Very relaxing atmosphere. Dinner is always an enjoyable evening.
Sub par hibachi i rate based on food and not the show and astetics i have ate many hibachi meals in my life but this was probably on the bottom 3 i had the ribeye steak cooked medium rare it was cooked properly the brocolli was scorched on some sides the flavor of their teriyaki sauce was not impressive the rice was mediocre but i will say the soup was very good for the price of the meal you would be better off going elsewhere not impressed
Very awesome I loved it watching them make the food and eating eat and at the end you had to catch your food when they threw it
The restaurant itself is nice and we were impressed by the full bar. However, the sushi is very disappointing and not the quality we were hoping for, it was not enjoyable whatsoever. I don’t think we would come back here unless we wanted to hangout at the bar. i’ll give 2 stars for the bar, decent service, and price. I do not recommend this place for Sushi foodies.
Great Japanese Steak house. Food was amazing. I had the chicken and shrimp. I drove past it for over 20 years and finally went there. Ill b back
I love Tokyo steakhouse it is an annual tradition for over 15 years to stop there and have dinner at least once every summer. Food is always great and the staff are super nice....
I’m not that big but I barely fit in the booth. Ordered my steak hibachi medium, but received well done, and dry. My wife said her sushi was “pretty terrible”
The food was delicious, and the chef was very entertaining. Im never a fan of sitting with strangers, but it is necessary with this type of dining experience. 3 out of the 4 in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meal, one of which claimed it was the best meal they had in a while. The 4th person felt their meal was too salty. We did not have any of the sushi options.
My family and I love this place. Took my son there for the past 2 years in his birthday so he can watch the grill chefs. Staff is amazing and so is the food!!!
An all around great experience. Loved the food! It was a great atmosphere. Very friendly staff.
Great vibes, super packed but got food started pretty quick. Mains were delicious but the rice was a bit different and the sauces are watered down.
Our waiter Brandon was great but he had too many tables to wait on. Took some time to get our bill. It has been soybeans since we visited this restaurant but the decline is obvious. Food was terrible we had several sushi rolls, noodles, tempura, and miso soup. The soup might as well be water no flavor. It became a trend for the rest of all the dishes. The upon beef noodles felt like we we chewing straw gum. Tempura was absolutely flavorless ans oily. The shrimp also did taste fresh. The sushi was horrible definitely not sushi grade fish. We will not be returning here at all. The drinks were obviously made by a novice. Overall they only get 2 stars due to our waiter.
There are three parts to my hibachi experiences that I look at. The atmosphere, the cook, and the food.Ill start with the atmosphere. Top notch. From the second you see the Japanese style building, to the interior wall waterfall/Koi pond and all the way inside to the Japanese inspired decoration and theming, this was an absolute thrill. There is a dining area and a hibachi area (we did hibachi). The theming is amazingly awesome in this place and Id go again just to enjoy this.Secondly, the food. The food was good. While not the best Ive had its fairly high up there and would go back again and again. They have the standard offerings but the food did seem higher quality then what I would normally get at other hibachis.Im going to end with the cook because that was my least favorite. Our chef did a great job preparing and cooking everything to order and provided the standard show but seemed in a hurry to move on. Not a whole lot of talking or showing, just the basics and it wasnt too busy to where they couldnt provide a bit more entertainment.Lastly, there appeared to be private hibachi rooms in the back that could be promising for small get togethers. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend for the hibachi fans out there!
If you like hibachi and youre in the area this is a great choice. Good food and choices on the menu. Have always had great customer service.
March 2022 - Have had decent meals here a few times, the food is decent. But tonight we ordered takeout off their online menu — 2 Hibachi dinners and Spring Rolls. According to their menu, the total price should have been about $57. Total on arrival was around $69. I looked at their in house menu and each dinner I ordered went up about $5, and the Spring Rolls were a little more (I think). Anyway, I told them they need to update their menu online. We’ll see if they do? So CHECK YOUR PRICES if ordering from online menu.ALSO, they didn’t include my favorite part, in either Hibachi dinner — the couple of fried SHRIMP (as stated on menu, and had them every other time)!! Fairly disappointed this round, not in the food per se but the overall experience. The black tote TOGO bag is nice tho….maybe I was up charged for it? Lol.
Great food and service. Table side cooking is always a fun entertaining time. Sushi and drinks were good options. Food came off the grill perfect.
We attempted to make reservation online. The online reservation takes 24-48 hours to process. This was not listed on the website anywhere. When we arrived, there was obviously no table available. Instead of reading at the hibachi table, we ate at a regular table. The service was fine, and the sushi good. The food ordered from the grill was bland and under-seasoned. I only hope it is better when it is made fresh at the habachi grill rather than in the kitchen. All in all, it was a lot of money for an underwhelming hibachi experience. If you need a reservation, dont use the website.
Our chef was AMAZING and soo personable! This really made the experience way better. Plus the food was so fresh, favorable and tender. Definitely recommend and cant wait to go back!
Been there 2 times, in both ocasions the place was empty and had to wait a long time for someone to come to our table. We gave it another chance as we believe in second chances. We walked in to a host that didnt say anything to us for the first 3 min, just stared at us. We were finally seated and waited there for 20 minutes and no one ever came to us despite the room being completely empty and servers kept waking past us. We stood up and left, no one cared or asked anything we past right by the host... same attitude as when we walked in... didnt care.
This place was very disappointing. The sushi was sub par. My husband got what was supposed to be filet, and it was definitely not filet. It was cut into pieces and full of fat. Way overpriced for the food quality. Waitress was also not at all friendly. Definitely not coming back.
Went at opening. Waitress was very nice and so was hibachi cook. My sushi was decent, rainbow roll, and hamachi/yellowtail, but the ginger had an off color, it was so limp no presentation could have been possible, unpleasant smell of chemical cleaner, and a horrid taste. When we informed waitress, we were told she would inform manager. No one ever changed it for fresher tasting ginger. Nor, did the manager or sushi chef, come and explain what the problem was. I am a sushi eater and from Philly of all places, not a shore town and we have great sushi and chefs who stand by their creations. This was unexceptable, because ginger is integral to sushi eating for me. The grill cook was good, and my friend enjoyed Sukiyake beef, and I had the Osaka shrimp, which were a tad over done for my taste. My starter soup was chicken based broth with what looked like 2 very thin a slivers of rehydrated mushroom, and not a scallion in sight, as it was described to have. It was so salty I did not continue past a few sips. I plowed through as it was my friends first time eating at a grill and he blurted out yes to it before I could object. He really had no comparison to the grilled food. But, I was disappointed with a $110 tab, which included $10 to grill guy, as he said restaurant doesnt share tip with him, and $15 to the willing waitress. Thats my honest take.
Incredible food, awesome staff. Simply phenomenal.
Chop chop surprise! Who would have thought such a place was in this little beach town. We sat at a fun table, great cocktails, and the chef was super entertaining. One of the little kids was having a birthday and they spent a lot of extra attention on him which was great! The food, steak shrimp and chicken for me was just outstanding. Almost too much to eat there are no complaints here other than its 3000 miles away from where I live.
Worst experience of any restaurants I have ever been at. Missed one of our orders entirely!! Completely didn’t get our daughter anything she ordered. Missed the chicken and scallops on our order after repeating everything to make sure they heard us correct and they did. Didn’t fix anything proactively only reactive and didn’t actually fix anything only took off on the order what they never brought us in the first place fixed nothing actually. Didn’t take anything off and asks if we wanted to go boxes and just to get the check because it was taking to long for them to take off the things we ordered and never got. Even though they verified we didn’t get it.
Was a bit confused, I made a reservation for 10 of us, 9 of us walked in the door and was waiting for one more to show up. They explained that they did not want us wait too much for a chef. So when we went in they sat us and then told drink orders as they sat another table. So we were still waiting and a chef showed up at the other table and we still waited for our chef. Other than that and the menu was totally confusing.but the chef was awesome and the food was amazing. Price was $$$ but was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time! Definitely had plenty of food!! I will go back for sure. Would of been 5 stars if they did not make us wait..
Don’t go here if you want your money stolen for poor service. My experience was I order food they messed it up and then try to blame me but I knew what I said and order after that since I wasn’t happy with the service or some other option they didn’t even bother helping I decided not too leave a tip since I’m not obligated too especially with the experience I had, just to find out they charged my account about 15% extra I called complained and they said it was a card service charged but I’ve been here before and didn’t happen last time I used it so be careful coming here
Ive been told about this place for the last several months ever since I moved into town. Last night I decided to take my wife and my son to try this place out even though we had already visited the one in Maryland which I was extremely impressed with. I typically write reviews based on the food at places however because of my experience last night, I feel the need also post something about my most recent experience at Tokyo Steakhouse here at right Rehoboth Beach. We got there about 9 pm and were immediately treated by the hostess upfront. Upon sitting us in our section, we noticed how that side of the restaurant wasnt getting much attention as there was only one other table at the moment we arrived. Either way we decided to stay but it took close to 15 minutes to finally get some service. Our server Shaheeda (had to look it up on the receipt), started by asking for our drinks in a very rushed manner. Once she brought the drinks out, she took out order and left to put the order in, but the horrible service started after she brought the food out almost slamming the dishes on the table. At one point, I questioned about one salad my wife had ordered that was supposed to have masago and wasnt on her dish, so she said she would get it to us on the side while rolling her eyes and turning around in an abrupt manner. At that point, we felt uncomfortable and in the past I would simply get up and go to a different restaurant but didnt want to put my family through that. My biggest complain is the service that was provided as we felt like we were being rushed and brushed away my the server. Every customer should be treated with respect regardless of a persons mood or previous dealing with other customers. Sounded like she had a bad night all together and unfortunately we paid as customers. Hopefully the GM can address this with this particular employee. Food was extremely good so I will give 5 starts on that end, but when customer service isnt provided at its best, the food quality becomes second at that point.
Omg it was so yummy ... Service was excellent... The chef was amazing and it was for a Birthday party ... So we had a blast.... Food was put of this world . priced just right too.
Such a fun place! We all enjoyed the food. It was so fresh and the show was spectacular! Our reservations were at 8. They gave our table away as we stood there. We waited an extra 15 min. The girl on the desk was a bit sassy at my husband. She screwed up and should have said she was sorry. Instead she actually went on to tell him to sit down and thanked him to wait. ???? We will not go back. But our Hibachi cook was great. Management needs to sit down with the front desk staff as they need a refresher in kindness.
Our Server was “new” and was not very knowledgeable about the menu so there was a lot of waiting for her to go check but she was friendly and gave great recommendations the hibachi chef was entertaining and friendly.Overall was a Fun Girls night out ♥️PSA- Order the Filet :)
Food was delicious. We always enjoy the chefs preparing our food. They are amazing
Love it, food was good, drinks were awesome and service was good I think our servers name was Heaven or Angel I know it something to do with god. She was AWESOME!!!
I’ve never seen sushi that looks as unappealing as the sushi we had from this restaurant. The tuna was way too dark for it to be fresh, the knife work was atrocious and created a really unpleasant texture for the fish. Plus the fish was old and soft and not fresh
My kids loves it and ate their food. Is there anything left to say? Our hibachi chef was entertaining and the food was good. The decor is awesome and the facilities looks clean. I stopped on the way out from the beaches with the kids and couldn’t be happier.
I was never a sushi person until I ate here! The Butterfly Roll is our absolute favorite. The service is always pleasant and a great place to celebrate any special occasion at the hibachi grill. Our daughters #1 request for her birthday dinner was to eat here. The service is always friendly & great. The cooks are entertaining and weve never had a bad meal.
Experience was great! I have been to many different hibachi restaurants, and this one was by far my favorite. The wait staff were on point the whole time, and the chef was very accommodating. Cant recommend this place enough!
Love this place. It is among the most beautiful interiors we have ever seen, especially in the sushi bar area. This is our go-to for sushi. Try anything!
Been here a couple of times. Never disappoints!! I tried the lovely peach drink (alcoholicand hands down, its the most refreshing drink Ive ever had. I always get the same thing. The chicken habachi. Its just the right amount and comes with everything I love. The soup and salad you get before hand is always good. We got the beef sticks. Those were nice. It comes with spring onions. The mochi is great. It comes frozen. Its best to wait like 5/10 mins for it to thaw so if you want to eat it as soon as you order. Try to remember to think ahead and order it about half way thru your meal so its ready after youre done eating.
Food is good every time. The Hibachi Chef was extremely talented and drinks are not bad at all. Only thing I would mention is if you go here be prepared to yell over other tables ! Highly recommend!
Amazing!!Even with the Covid-19 Pandemic, the staff were fast and beyond friendly and the food was fantastic and well priced for what you receive! I had a HARD sushi craving and this cured it right away! I left stuffed and happy! Definitely recommend to anyone curious!
Awesome food. Watching the chef make our food was a lot of fun with the entire family
7 people were in our party and we ate at the Hibachi Grill. None of us had been there recently but we are glad we came back. Our waitress was very attentive and quick to get our drinks and appetizers, and she checked back often. Our chef cooked all our meals perfectly, which consisted of chicken, steak, shrimp and scallops. All of which were delicious! We will be returning soon and next time Ill be having Sushi as well!
Absolutely loved watching them cook the food in front of us! Really enjoyed the sushi too and I loved drinking the onion soup I said Im sorry Im going to be in proper and started drinking my soup out of the bowl. It was even fun when the chef started a food fight. Lol food was gluten-free but if you are gluten-free remember to say no soy sauce please I forgot at 8 to soy sauce it is not gluten free. But all the sushi is without the soy sauce. Will definitely go there again!
Mothers Day dinner for my Mom and sister 😊 It was awesome!! I ordered the fuji steak with salmon...it was delicious and our chef was the best! Our Mom had so much fun, shes already planning a trip back!! Lol
