Travel Shoppe in Ellsworth County

I dont think this place is open anymore. I arrived Monday afternoon, and although Google said its open, it was closed and all the pumps were taped up. Truly heartbreaking, its been a long road trip and I really really had to poop. Thank goodness for the store next to it.

Kind of run-down. Very low inventory of convenience store items. Very high prices. No public restroom, just a couple of porta-potties out to the side.

Poor service we were completely out of gas the guy refused to take 100 dollar bill even though I was getting 40 in gas

They dont open at 6!

They sell Eagle 20 cigarettes for the cheapest price I have found to date. They have an ongoing 2 pack special here for $8.79. Usually 2 packs of even any generic brand of cigarettes proves unheard of under $10.00 now days. Dollar General Stores everywhere sell the same exact product, 2 packs for $9.89. Which still sits under $10.00, but still a whole $1.10 more than here at this little Travel Shoppe that could. Prices on most all other items sold there sit up with all other competitors nonetheless.The 3 workers here are exceptionally nice. One in particular, if you ever need someone to talk to for hours on end, go here during his shift. He drives a 2000 model tan Chevy Impala. You see that parked on the side there, thats him working.The manager herself, she usually opens the place up in the mornings. She kills me laughing, because she is not a morning person at all. Yes, it says they open at 6:00 am, but from 6:00 am to 7:00 am, I found to stay hit and miss whether they open yet or not. If shes not there yet, shell be there by 7:00 am for sure. The manager herself just snoozed one to many times and running late.

Clean bathrooms. Nice people.

Glad to see this gas station in the middle of nowhere. We needed coolant and coffee and they had both. Store was clean and small.

Price for gas was way too expensive but it’s the only gas station around so you don’t have much of a choice when you’re on E. People were friendly and the bathrooms were clean.

Price gouging by 25 cents a gallon just because they are in the middle of nowhere. Head up the highway 13 miles for cheaper gas.

Glad it is here. Only place selling gas on this exit. Nice people

Very friendly
