The Pros:1. Cabinets are high quality2. Showroom is beautiful3. Locally manufacturedMy experience with Tristar began with a sales rep who provided me detailed CAD drawings for my kitchen project. My sales rep quit and I got replacement reps who still draw on graphing paper. (If you prefer modern drawings look elsewhere)We looked at Brakur and Tristar. We picked Tristar because they had a quicker estimated delivery date. (Ordered in Feb with estimate of June).I followed up in April and they pushed back the delivery estimate to early July.In early July, I hired movers and relocated all my 1st and 2nd floor belongings because we were refinishing the floors, replacing trim and doors at the same time as the cabinets. My children slept on the floor in our basement because their beds were relocated to the garage.I called Tristar on July 7 and they told me it’d be another month with no advance warning. This delay caused disruption with other trades I had scheduled for my project. I sent email to my sales rep about my predicament and got zero response.After getting the cabinets installed, one cabinet was wrong. They first tried to charge more money to fix it(already paid $18k+). Ultimately after some bickering, they replaced the door free of cost.My recommendation is be wary of any times they provide and be ready for archaic drawings. But, they make good cabinets.***Update***After completing my project and having appliances delivered, my fridge cannot open because of spacing and cabinet knob placement. Keep in mind, we selected appliances FIRST and asked Tristar to build around our selected appliances. So again, our completion date is indefinitely pushed back. Best part…the rep asked us to split the cost of fixing the problem. Cannot make this stuff up….unbelievably disappointing.

I had a good and bad experience with this company. Had them build a couple bathroom vanities and linen cabinet for our master bath. I had to make a few tweaks after the initial estimate (ie; shorten one of the vanities by a few inches, change the height and width of the linen cabinet a few inches.The changes were ones that resulted in slightly lower quotes each time BUT the cost of the soft close drawer slides (which were about $29 each on the initial estimatewent up each time I made changes to the order. At the end the slides practically doubled in price to about $60 each!! So having 15 drawers, the cost for the slides was around $900, which represented close to 20% of the total cost of the order. I was told that the slides were difficult to get, prices were going up, along with some other BS. I called a few local cabinet companies and was told I was overcharged big time, and the slides should have never been more than $32 each, even when they were in short supply. It was suggested that the prices on the slides were increased for me so it would offset the loss of commission for the salesman each time I changed the order. In addition to the drawer slide issue, after I made a change to reduce the width of the linen cabinet from 24" to 21" I was told that double doors wasnt an option, that it had to be one door. After seeing a 19" wide linen cabinet in Menards one day I called the shop and said I couldnt understand why two doors wouldnt work. I was told it could be done but was too late since the single door was already made and the order was almost complete. I insisted on two doors, but they said I had to pay for the change (a couple hundred dollars I believe). I felt like I had no choice but to pay as we wanted two doors.I have a love/hate feeling for this company. The quality of the cabinets is excellent. They turned out great, are made very well, very heavy, look fabulous. Dale is a great guy, hes friendly, thorough, came to the house to measure. Dan is a pretty good guy, too. But to this day I feel like I was overcharged for the soft close slides and for the double door for the linen cabinet. I chalk it up to profit and greed I guess. Not sure whos fault it is.Would I use them again? Well be doing a kitchen remodel this fall and I would definitely get an estimate from them. But I wont pay $60 for soft close slides again.

We purchased our cabinets from Tri Star just over a year ago and couldn’t be more satisfied! Fantastic customer service every step of the way ... from the initial visit to their showroom, John coming to our home to measure, to the design plan (which we made changes to at the very last minute!), everyone has been professional, friendly, and helpful.Follow up service has been great as well. Visited them more than once to get additional shelves, very accommodating. The cabinets needed to be adjusted after being installed by our contractor, they came out and took care of it, no questions asked.The cabinets have been in place almost a year, and needed some minor adjustments due to normal settling. Mike came out this week, was fast and efficient, and even gave me a quick tutorial and how to do it myself if it was ever needed down the road. My apologies to Mike’s co-worker for forgetting his name, who was just as helpful.Haven’t even mentioned yet how much we LOVE our cabinets ... high quality, tons more room, shelves are super easy to adjust, and the cabinets look absolutely BEAUTIFUL!We highly recommend Tri Star!!!

I had two new doors made for a cabinet which was a double oven. They did a great job on doors.I had one door that was not staying in place. I took door to have two more support put on.They got the door ready in just 10 mins.Customer service is the bestThanks

Outstanding service in my home with a kitchen drawer with failing slides. The guys found something that would work for 34 year old cabinets. I would recommend Tri-Star to all in the area. Nice guys, pleasant, and true professionals.

Nothing standard about Tri-Star! From the first planning meeting, to the installation, customer service, knowledge, quality and craftsmanship, they are 5-plus star!!! I went in with a very unique idea (in my mindfor my new kitchen, and Joe nailed it! My new kitchen in gorgeous and I couldnt be happier. Highly recommend!!!

Awesome service. They were able to rebuild my 20 year old cabinet after my daughter accidentally destroyed it. Very kind and sincere.
