Truoc’s Snail Stall in Quận Một

Came on a monday at about 10am, late October. Lane was empty, no operations but seats and tables were closed and stacked neatly. Doesnt seem like permanently closed, but maybe try to avoid Mondays!Such a pity will not be able to try Truoc Snail Store as we are returning the next day. Next time!

Unsure if she is still selling snails at this area. Came here before noon and the stall was not there.

해산물 안좋아하는데,, 진짜 이집이랑 다낭의 해산물집은 진짜 비린 맛 안나고 맛있게 잘 먹은 집이다!!다만 식당이 아니고 길거리에 있어서 치마입고 앉기가 좀 불편했는데 충분히 감안하고 가볼만한 집이다!!!호치민에 간다면 이 집이랑, 분짜 집이랑, 쩨 먹으러 다시 갈 것 같닼ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The food is delicious, freshly made on the spot.Make sure you get there before 12PM (probably when the food is finished she closes, there is no schedule).There is no menu, they just come with different food plates at your table. When you are full, just tell them ‘no more’.You can get drinks and baguette from neighbouring stalls :)For 4 types of food, we paied 200.000VND.

Note: permanently closedWhen we got there the lane was empty. Apparently the place is not longer running but it wasn’t updated online. Bummed as we really wanted to try it after seeing the positive reviews and watching the series on Netflix.

Amazing street food place with very friendly people and affordable prices. I didnt get a menu, instead I got three dishes which they seemed to serve everyone and each dish only costs 30k! I was impressed by the taste and will definitely come back!

Absolutely delicious!Honestly I wont be even able to find this place, if not for Netflix. But I highly reccomend.

Truoc snail streetfood was featured on Netflix and this is my favorite seafood street food in HCMC. Every dish we had was incredible. Seafood and ingredients were fresh and cooked with so much love.The best part of the meal were the friendly workers who showed us how to eat each dish with the sauces provided.There is also an english menu which was helpful. We has 6 dishes and total came out to around $8 dollars.The area was clean and there was shade over the seating area.Cant wait to go back again.

Quán ốc trên series Street Food của Netflix.Một quán ốc nhỏ đường phố như bao quán ốc khác tại Sài Gòn, nhưng lại đặc biệt theo cách riêng.Quán nằm ở một con hẻm nhỏ nên không khí nhộn nhịp, mọi người qua lại và làm việc hợp tác cùng nhau. Chỉ có vài chiếc bàn nhỏ, mấy cái ghế đẩu, mấy cây dù thế là được cái không gian cho mọi người đến và thưởng thức các món ốc bình dân.Thực đơn cũng không có gì quá cầu kỳ, tầm hơn chụ loại ốc và hải sản khác nhau với các cách nấu quen thuộc như xào me, bơ tỏi, nướng mỡ hành, phô mai,...Ốc tươi và ngon.Đĩa không quá to, gia vị nêm vừa ăn, hơi ngọt với những ai không ăn nhiều đường.Giá rất hợp lý, 30k một đĩa ốc. Cô bán ốc hợp tác với cô bán nước nên nước uống sẽ được bán ở hàng bên cạnh, chính xác là bàn của cô bán nước cho cô bán ốc mượn.

Wer Netflix Streetfood geschaut hat, will vermutlich bei seinem Saigon-Besuch auch einen Abstecher zu der “Snail Lady” machen.Da spricht auch absolut nichts dagegen: Wie in der Serie findet man die Dame und Ihren einfachen Kochstand in einer kleinen Seitenstraße. Die “Berühmtheit” hat bisher kaum Spuren hinterlassen - man nimmt auf Plastikstücken an den üblichen Metalltischen Platz und genießt authentisches Streetfood-Flair. Auch einige Einheimische essen hier weiterhin.Achtung: Einige Stühle gehören der Getränkdame nebenan, die einen nach dem Hinsetzen auch gleich zum Getränkekauf verpflichtet - aber freundlich und zu moderaten Preisen, also kein Grund zum Ärgern.Ach ja, das Essen:Es war unsere erste Erfahrung mit Schnecken, daher fehlt der Vergleich. Aber es hat sehr gut geschmeckt - die Portionen waren ordentlich, gut gewürzt (Knoblauch!die Preise niedrig und bei verwirrtem Blick in die Karte hat eine Kollegin der Snail-Lady zwei Gerichte empfohlen (u.a. Schlammschnecken...klar). Zwei Schnecken waren “faul”, also haben etwas seltsam geschmeckt. Das wird sich wohl bei so einem Berg nicht vermeiden lassen.Ich schätze es wird nicht das einzige Restaurant mit guten Schnecken sein - aber wen es nach Netflix interessiert, der kann hier ruhigen Gewissens vorbeischauen.

This is the by far best seafood streetfood I have had in Saigon. Very friendly atmosphere, calm and clean alley, very fair prices.

I was so happy to find her after watching her moving story on Netflix. You can ask for your snails not to be spicy although I had to use Google translate. Everything I had was good

Quán ốc trong hẻm. Các món ốc khá đầy đủ, ngon, giá rẻ. Có điều không đặt trước hoặc đến sớm trước 11 giờ sáng, có thể hết bàn hoặc phải đợi khá lâu.

螺類的料理，好吃又便宜，推薦想香茅炒白色蛤蜊特別好吃，是在一個小胡同裡面，營業時間10：00am~2:00pm，超棒！對外國人也很親切，very good！

各種螺的烹調，很美味，又便宜，我們四口吃了16盤才45萬越幣。

The best street food that I had in HCMC. So lucky could go there last minute and eat before flying back home today. It’s much cleaner and delicious to other food stalls. I bought takeaway and ate them at airport. Highly recommend it! People very friendly and the the kid so helpful and cute hehe

When we went the restaurant opened from 10am to 2pm. The staff was friendly and the food very good, we had snails and clams, both of them delicious and at a very good price. For those who read this, the dishes we tried were mild spicy and a couple of them were garlic based. Certainly a place to repeat.

Amazing and delicious food, we tried half the menu. Owner and workers are extremely friendly and humble. Loved pairing everything with their salt/citrus juice sauce. Sitting on the stools and eating on the streets didn’t bother us one bit because we were enjoying the food so much. Will definitely come back before we fly out to try the rest of the menu ;)
