3201 Walnut St ste a, Boulder, CO 80301, USA, Boulder County
Moved from Boulder not too long ago and realized I never left a review. Miss this place as it was my favorite brewery in the city (yes, even more so than Avery). They have a beer for all tastes and they are constantly coming out w new styles!
Decent beer & great food! Very nice outdoor patio and the pizzas were very tasty. We had the carnivore, CBR, and Mediterranean - would recommend all! The ranch was also DELICIOUS.
The beer and service is good, but to-go beer experience was terrible. Weve bought both a glass growler and a can growler, and both have leaked within hours of purchase. We are traveling from out of town so this has been very frustrating to deal with.
Showed up last week for lunch, which has always been good. The sign on the door was worded awkwardly, so we entered anyhow and were informed the kitchen was closed, but in a quite rude manner. This was followed up with excuses about how their staff had recently quit. Based on this persons communication skills (lack there ofseems obvious why they were having this crisis. Wont be returning any time soon, sad.
Great beer and pizza. The fig pizza was the bomb, and the beer selection was plentiful.
Really good selection of brews and good pub food! Recommend the raspberry wheat. Also tried the coffee stout and it was to DIE for, coming back in fall/winter when their stouts are aplenty!
Lots of great beers to choose from, including the kombucha Boulder Shandies!
I would consider the brewery fairly average. Nothing stood out, but did the job. They have a decent number of taps, but a limited number of styles. It is a good place to go if you are in the area. It is not a destination brewery.
Great place to grab some great grub and a unique beer! Billy’s Chilies was my favorite, but all of their beers were wonderful! And they even have beer flights 👀 I had their summer pasta salad with chicken and it was fantastic!
The atmosphere is really chill with good views of the flatirons. You can have your dog outside with all the tables in the parking lot.The food here is amazing and we look everywhere for breweries with good food made in house! Hoping to try a pizza next time! My friend loved the soft pretzels.
Plenty of outdoor seating as well as a huge indoor space that must be fun! Got the daily special pineapple soy wings and they lacked any major flavor to be honest. The gluten free pizza was tasty. Also got their summer beer as well as the golden boy; def liked the summery cucumber better on a nice hot day. Curious to try some of the other varieties of beer next time! I love that they are almost all gluten reduced.
Nice balanced selection of biers, reasonably priced. No BS brewery.
What a great place. It is a laid back friendly place with a great vibe, great food and awesome beers. We selected this place after seeing all the great reviews. The reviewers aren’t lying. This is a counter service place so you go up to the bar and order your food/drink, they hand you a pager (for your food ), beers and you grab a table. The bar staff was very friendly and the service was very quick. If you like a lighter less hoppy beer with a citrus flavor, the “lemon aid stand” is for you. It’s very refreshing and after walking around under the hot midday sun, you’ll want gallons of this stuff. I kid you not. It goes down real easy, and has a tiny tart kick at the end. Beautiful! Also, and this is huge for me, the beer is COLD. They do something with the glass that chills it better than any place I’ve ever been served beer before. In other micro breweries, the beer is served somewhat cold, almost warm. Not this place, the beer is served cold and remains that way for a very long time. You’ll finish your beer and your last sip will be colder than a fresh beer served at other micro breweries. This is more than sticking the mug in the freezer. This really caught me off guard. Now the food. We had the pretzels, nachos and Hawaiian pizza. The Hawaiian pizza was the best I’ve had since I can remember. I would classify this as a gourmet pizza. There was a lot of thought that went into making this pizza and the taste proves it. It isn’t just slapped together. It has a nice thin crust with the right amount of crispness and snap to it. The ingredients were fresh and top notch. It has the perfect balance of toppings, cheese, sauce and crust. It pairs perfectly with the lemon aid stand. The pretzel was warm, soft and had the right amount of salt. The cheese sauce had a slight kick to it. So Delicious! The nachos were equally good. We polished that off quickly.Overall, this is a gem of a place. The pizza is excellent and the beers refreshing. We’ll be back for sure.
Chill atmosphere with live music in the back. Space is bigger than you think, front patio, main area by the bar and a large space in the back. Found my favorite beer tigerblood and utterly delicious sour!
Killer pizza and even better beer!
Great service by the server that was working outside. She was so kind and brought out chalk for our 3 children. She checked on us several times even though we didnt have a tab with her. The beer was great and we enjoyed ourselves after a long 15 hour drive overnight from Austin.
I love Twisted Pine so much. The staff is incredible, the bartender Nikita was so wonderful, she was unbelievably kind and helpful and I’d love to be her friend lol. The whole staff is great and the food and beer is always fabulous! I will definitely be coming back.
An awesome place in Boulder for craft beers. The ambience looks like its still under construction but the quality of the beers are nice and unique. Would.love to visit again. I would love if its open beyond 9pm.
They had a good selection of all different kinds of beer available for flights. The food was also very delicious. I am giving it 4 stars because it was definitely expensive. Other than that, it was a great experience and the staff were very kind
We had a great time here and loved the games. A big family win. The kids loved the game options and food. We had the hummus plate, my kids couldn’t get enough.
This used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, they have changed their procedures so you have to order everything from a counter now. Be prepared to wait 20 minutes in line just to get a single beer… and another 20 minutes in line to get your second one. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to switch to this model. I won’t be returning until they go back to using actual servers again. I love the beer, and the food is good, but waiting in line like that just makes for an abysmal experience.
Visiting Boulder from out of town and saw this brewery when driving by on Saturday and thought we’d stop in. The girl working at the bar was very friendly and helpful - we ended up getting a pilsner and their hard seltzer on her suggestion and both were fantastic (pretty rare to find non-beer at a brewery so it was great that they had something for those of us who aren’t so big on beer). The food was great too - wings and pizza were both good choices and came out quickly. The place was busy but not too crowded and had a nice outdoor patio. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in town!
This is normally one of my favorite breweries in town here. Recently I went and they just had horrible service, the one girl is downright rude and probably should be let go immediately if they value future business. But other than bad service the last time I went, typically they are pretty good about keeping up. They typically have a good beer selection as well which is why I like coming here. They also have a large outdoor area for seating which makes it ideal if you come here on bikes.
Please for the love of god bring back the Mac and cheese!! It was the best thing on the menu! Kinda sad there are wings but no fries. Also the darts are gone?Besides these minor menu issues this is one of the best breweries in Boulder. The cerise is one of the best sours I have had. They always have on point ipas!!
Really nice selection of beer, whether you like hoppy, juicy or bitter. The pizza is great too.
Awesome Brewery with a large spectrum of beers. All their beers are gluten reduced/ crafted to remove gluten and below 20 PPM! Their chilly beer is out of this world amazing and their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. This is my new favorite brewery in Boulder!
So the beer and food are good, which are the primary considerations. However, my mid-level rating is due to the service and model they currently have in place. I realize with the pandemic and labor shortage, things wont be perfect or as quick as they used to be. However, they require everyone to order at the front counter. Normally, that might be fine, but if it gets busy at all, it doesnt work. Theres usually only 1-2 people behind the counter struggling to keep up. If you go on trivia night or if its slightly crowded, expect to wait up to 15 minutes or so just to order. They you get a buzzer and go back for your food. The people behind the counter always seem flustered when it gets busy, and I dont blame them. Twisted Pine needs to anticipate the crowds and have a better system for ordering. Again, I dont like to be negative, as the beers, the food, the environment, and everything else is great--just the ordering when its busy.
This place is awesome—I’ve checked out a lot of breweries around the Denver area, and this one is a favorite for sure! Super chill/cozy atmosphere, lots of tables, good food, and GREAT beer. Huge selection too; I’m a big fan of sours and they always have a good amount to choose from.
Great beer, great pizzas, plenty of inside seating for those cold Colorado Winters. No table service, but I prefer self service restaurants. Bar service was polite and offered good menu suggestions. Low key brewery that offers everything a brewery should.
Food and beer was great plus a really nice ambiance. We sat outside at the well lit picnic tables. They werent kept clean so we had to wipe off other peoples food and beer spills. It wasnt busy when we were there so I assume keeping tables clean isnt a priority. Servers were friendly and helpful. We had to go back inside to order more beer and food and then had to go back in to close our tab. We did get a buzzer that let us know when our food was ready to pickup. In this era, it seemed like a lot more get up and move around to get your service than weve been used to. No QR code ordering offered. Bathrooms were very clean and easily accessible. Id definitely go back the next time Im in Denver! Note: they sell crowlers but they can them upon your order, so give yourself time.
Really chill place to eat & drink with a fun trivia night on Wednesdays! The fig pizza was delicious and the beer was also really good. My favorite was the beer that tasted like earl grey tea. I’ll definitely be coming back, especially for trivia!
Amazing beer and great atmosphere! The service was great both visits. Well be back next time we are in Boulder!
I was able to have the pleasure of chatting with the founders before my decision on what flavors to try.And being from Milwaukee, I have a high standard when it comes to beer. Twisted Pine did not let me down. A locally founded and owned brewery with a beautiful Mountain View from a huge and accommodating out door seating/ dining area. All the sauces are made in house. The Buffalo 🦬 sauce was the perfect amount of heat to flavor ratio. And the dry rub wings packed a second level heat that was unexpected but absolutely made me have to go back for another!I will definitely be putting this on the list of delicious places in boulder!!!ENJOY!
Great place to catch a few beers with friends. Awesome enviroment, they talk you through the exceptionally easy process. Pick wherever you want to sit. Great view and nice enviroment, awesome crew open and chill to everyone Ill definitely stop by again.
Very laid back atmosphere. You get to pick where you want to sit and order your food and drinks at the bar. Simple menu. Pizzas were good.
Awesome spot!! Super Friendly Staff so welcoming! Beer is great and there is a lot of space. I will be back and cant wait to try the food it smelled so delicious!
Definitely the most COVID-aware and secure brewery in town, they even check your temperature before seating you. I felt extremely safe on the expansive patio.. and of course, the beer was delicious as always! I love the creativity of their Boulder shandy (beer + kombucha!).
This brewery was surprisingly great. We didnt know much about this brewery but decided to give it a chance and Im glad we did.The Hoppy Islander Mango IPA was really good. The star of the visit was the Pork Mac& Cheese. All I have to say is wow that was good.Side note: 10/10 for reacting to COVID.They take your temperature at the door, seat socially distanced, and provide hand sanitizer at the tables.
Twisted Pine Brewing Company is doing a great job amidst the ongoing pandemic. The entrance and exit is one way and before you can enter their outdoor seating, they do temperature checks on everybody. With menus completely online, safety is a top priority. For $15 you can get a beer flight with five of the beers they offer. It is a great way to sample all of the different offerings. For my meal, I got a pulled pork sandwich. Admittedly, I was a little disappointed - not because it was bad, but my friends pizzas looked much better. Overall though, it was a great experience.
We went on Monday when they had happy hour all day. We ordered a one topping mushroom pizza and pretzels. As you can see everything was delicious. We drank the Fresh Tracks, so yummy and crisp. Paired well with our pizza and pretzels.
Great beers, great service, great atmosphere/music. The Nitro Big Shot is delicious.
Nice beer selection with ample food offerings. Easy, laid back vibe. Friendly staff, inquire about tastings and samples of their beer selection. Try the chili beer and if you can handle something hotter try the Ghost Face Killah for an exceptional chili pepper beer!
This place is spacious with a good food menu and games to play for all ages. Very kid friendly and there are lots of beers to choose from.
Billy’s Chili’s is one of my very favorites! Found them at GABF 2019 and had to visit before we departed Colorado. Friendly staff and delicious brews! If your in Boulder be sure to stop on by and have a glass!
Excellent quality and variety of beer. Great food options for a brewery, surprisingly good pizza. Attentive service at the bar.
Great pub with lots of seating and a good selection of beers on tap! They have live music some nights as well as a pile of board games to keep you busy with friends. Our server was super chill and made sure we were taken care of.
I had the Porch Hopper and it was absolutely amazing! Great service, friendly atmosphere and there name is what called me here! It was something unique and I thought it would make for a great brewery! It definitely was everything I expected! I will be back! What a place to end any adventure, or wind down with friends! Cheers🍻🤙
Hello this is a joint review with my partner Valerie. Valerie had a sweet tooth so she asked for their seasonal dessert. They didn’t have that dessert or the other dessert in stock. So she asked them to modify their appetizer “Schnibs Pretzels” which consists of three pretzels with queso, creole mustard and honey mustard on the side. She wanted a cinnamon sugar pretzel. And they delivered... for free!!! She then asked for another batch except this time she wanted icing and she told them if you just combine milk and powdered sugar you get the perfect icing... AND THEY DELIVERED. Meanwhile, I asked for the regular pretzel appetizer and two beers and they were excellent with my order as well. Shoutout to Bobby, our wonderful server, for facilitating all of our demands and being a super cool guy. Great experience.
I was never a big beer person. My best friend Rebecca is though so we decided to find a beer Id like. I am very picky but I knew I liked dark beer. I tried the Big Shot and fell in love!!! Its like espresso and beer in one, the taste of the espresso is very present and thats what I like!! I also really like their new taco Tuesdays, the meat in the tacos is very clean which is huge for me. I love the nachos, mac n cheese even their cesar salad! Seth, one of the bartenders there is super amazing, always gets our order correct and is always a pleasure to visit. If I could give Twisted Pine a better rating I would!!!
Much improved since Ive been back this year. While I enjoyed some of the quirky beers theyve brewed in the past, others should never have made it to the menu. The new menu has a nice balance of solid staple beers while continuing to include the fun ones like Ghost Face.
