Uncle Bucks BBQ in Luzerne County

Omg!!! So frustrated i did an order online they took 1.5 hours to do it. Plus when i got there one of the workers eating a left pizza from the customer plate. Eww so embarrassing.

Small dive bar type place with a griddy ambiance. However, their food incredible! The chicken dinner was not too moist and not too dry, but perfect. Also, it had a flavorful dry rub and a delicious bbq sauce on the side. The brisket sandwich was very good as well.

Fantastic brisket! I just had my 5th brisket sandwich at the Luzerne county fair "I SWEAR TO GOD". I am ashamed that I have passed your restaurant dozens of time and never once ate there but that will change soon. Your brisket was possibly the best I have ever had and Ive tried brisket up and down the east coast. Bravo my friend! Truly delicious!

Got to say, Brian and the team at Uncle Bucks have the very best barbecue in the Valley. It just tastes good!

You Need To Know? Arrived to Unvle Bucks BBQ @ 5:30 p.m. & we were able to sit anywhere. Indoor & outdoor seating was available. Indoors was a small bar room environment. Meals were a hot Hawaiian pizza, sloppy fries, BBQ chicken dinner, & a brisket sandwich. The sloppy fries had bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce, ranch sauce & were topped with pulled pork. 😋 Fantastic starter to this meal. The BBQ chicken dinner was large with 3 boneless chicken breasts being served. The pizza which had jalapeños to give it some heat was just all right. To be expected when ordering pizza @ a BBQ joint! The brisket sandwich was tender & sloppy. You need to eat it quickly or the bun will be saturated in the juices. Overall good experience that is worth another go! Now You Know!

Stretched themselves too thin last night. Took on a catering order, takeouts, Bike nite on patio, plus the bar & dining room orders. Got my burger right away, but friends had to wait about 35 more min to get a peach which was to have only 1/2 with onions.Not!? The food was very good--but the wait time was awful.

The BBQ is outstanding and it is always made to order/fresh. Im not one to eat at bars, but thankfully had the opportunity to eat from their food truck. Although, the location is a little ways away and awkward to visit, but I cannot recommend this place enough!

The food was amazing so delicious I got the platter that came with some pull pork bbq chicken brisket and all and two sides that food was so good reminded me of the bbq back home in Baltimore I loved it and the staff was amazing will definitely be going back

Had chicken bbq dinner. Phenomenal. Dogs enjoyed their bones as well. Good stuff and great prices.

The pulled pork sandwich is actually a gross make-it-yourself. They pack some shredded meat in aluminum foil, with an empty, toasted seasoned bun next to it. Thats all there is to it. Wont go back.

Fantastic quality BBQ, brisket is amazing and the chicken has a great sauce and perfect amount of smoke. The sides are delicious as well. Portions are huge and the prices are reasonable.

They had the best BBQ around Wilkes-Barre, by far. We ordered the BBQ stromboli several times, several varieties, always so good. Order well in advance since these take a while to cook. And they are heavy!Edit, we ordered just BBQ and they put the sauce on everything. I guess we lived in Texas too long, we arent used to that, we like adding our own sauce or dipping. Just thought I would mention it. Everything was still tasty, just too saucy.

Had the chicken dinner tonight. I literally could not cut it with a knife. I almost pulled a tooth out trying to bite a piece off of it. Its chicken. If you cant cook chicken without severely overcooking it than what could you do. Its the easiest protein to cook. Id give it to the dog, but the spices were overbearing, perhaps to hide the leather. I mean chicken.

We had ordered pig for a pig roast 1 month in advance. They called back to confirm. 2 days before our event we were notified that they could not get a pig, but they would do 25lbs of pulled pork for the same price as the pig. Very agitated and disappointed as we have had to scramble for food for 50+ with just 2 days notice.

The bbq was straight off the frozen food truck. Typical local dive bar.Never trust google reviews.Very disappointed with the bbq.The chicken and ribs were typical frozen Sysco meat.

A week ago I ordered from them for pickup on Tuesday first day they were opened around 3:05 I got a side of mashed potatoes and side of macaroni and cheese. The mashed potatoes and the macaroni and cheese came in a small. I mean very small container. But for $2 each you get what you pay for however Ive tasted better mashed potatoes and mac and cheese somewhere else. I got my kids the chicken fingers and fries meal. The fries were cold and soggy. The fries also tasted expired or maybe they dont change out the fry oil often that went bad. The chicken fingers were also cold and didnt taste right. They were not crispy. They were more soggy. I have also ordered the build your own Burger meal. The burger meal even though cooked to your own liking still seems like an average Burger you can get anywhere else. Its not bad but its not good either. Its just average. I have not had any other barbecue items yet so I cannot comment on them. However up to this point the only good food item I received from them was the chicken wings with their different sauces. That is if you can afford the price which is higher than everybody else. Not to mention I went off the online menu prices. Yes it does say price is subject to change . However when I went there to pick up my order I asked what was costing me more money and the guy could not giving me an answer. I feel like they just come up with any price they want and thats what you pay. To all the people who had put four or five stars for this restaurant I say this. Remember everything tastes better when youre drunk. Try not drinking any alcohol and then eating it.

The smoked clams are out of this world. Pictured is the special entree we ordered- a Smoked Charcuterie Board. We also had the crab cake special, boneless wing bites with UB Sweet and Tangy sauce, and waffle fries with cheese. Everything was fantastic.

Placed an order 2 hours in advance they did not have I ready. Went as far to tell the driver they never received it after they said it would be an extra 44im wait. Finally received my food and was missing part of the order. Garbage service with rude employees.

THIS is what you always want bbq to taste like! The sides! The meat! The desserts! All of it... no wrong thing to pick!ALSO there was this customer that was being so mean and rude... the servers were sooo nice to her! So I would consider it great/fantastic service.

Needed take out for four, wanted good food, not a chain... got stromboli (sauce on side was excellent), pagach, pork slop fries, and threw in sides of roasted corn and potato salad. It was just over an hour wait, but on a Friday night, what do you expect? Heavy.....but tasty! Never had pagach made their way before(stuffed pizza stylebut it was good nonetheless. The corn was soft, sweet, tasty. Potato salad wasnt a big hit, but it is the mustard variety. Even if we werent fans of the flavor, you could tell the quality is there, fresh! All good, want to go back and try something else!

Severely under staffed. Only one woman to be waitress bartender and bus for the whole place. The stuffed mushrooms were burnt but the lobster bisque, lobster dinner, and rib dinner were okay. The waitress was sweet. Felt bad that she had to do everything by herself.

Lived on the west side all my life and never had Uncle Bucks. I ate there tonight and Boy what I was missing. I ordered the fries and a side of the mild wing sauce to dip it in and the build your own burger. Both were amazing. The waitress was on point and very very friendly. Even though it was close to closing time she stood talking to me for a few minutes about different things. I actually can’t wait to order from there again !

I was amazed at how good everything was. I was expecting it to be just ok. But it was very very delicious. My whole family didnt have one complaint. We will be back!! An thats a fact jack!!

Overall the bbq was great! Service could have been alittle better. And the sides need to match the food. Baked beans were sour tasting, and the mac & cheese was like mush. Overall, our food was good. Some improvement to be made.

Read multiple reviews on poor customer service at Uncle Bucks - and those reviews are correct. Was going to be our first time trying take out - I called literally seven minutes before their scheduled opening. Was told I had to call back. Wasn’t like I was looking for a pick up right when they opened. Too much I guess to jot down the order. If you don’t want to talk to customers - don’t answer the phone. Way too much effort to be a customer at Uncle Buck’s - too many other good choices in the area.

The beef brisket sandwich was the best one Ive ever had in my life. The way the fat just melts in your mouth was amazing.

We had Uncle Bucks BBQ cater our event this past Friday night. Uncle Bucks BBQ food was delicious - every single dish - lots of guests commented on the great food. They came a long way to get to our venue but the food was hot, they were on time, and they stayed as long as we needed them too. They left us tons of delicious leftovers and their price was reasonable. I cannot say enough about how good the overall experience was - and no, I am not a relative, friend, or anyone they know. Hire them and dont think twice, they will not disappoint!

Ive seen advertisements, but I never tried Uncle Bucks until today. I think Im in love lol! I had a couple of pulled pork sandwiches drizzled in their spicy sauce. DELICIOUS!!! The sauce is amazing, the pork perfectly cooked, and this totally made my day!!! Thank you so much!!!On a side note, the spicy sauce isnt hot, or over the top, its loaded with flavor. It is something that everyone should definitely try!

YooOOOOoooOo! I dont do reviews! But i just had the best wings I have ever had! On point! Who ever cookin, give em a raise! Cajun Butter Garlic Parm w a twist, and the crisp to the wing was Money In The Bank!!! Kudos!!!

Omg! I always get take out from here, but I recently tried one of their "Buck Bolis". It was one of the best things Ive ever tasted. The chicken, pork, and brisket were cooked perfect. The large was huge!! Never had anything that I didnt like from here. Always great.

This place was fantastic! The owner came out and visited us and checked on our meals. It was extremely obvious that he cares greatly about the quality of his product! This was some excellent pork and brisket! I would definitely recommend.

Over an hour wait for our food. Place only had one waitress on (who bless her, was doing her bestdespite having some yearly party. Management seemed confused as to why groups were getting upset.

Ordered food from there for the first time for my fiance and it was fantastic. Ribs were fall off the bone. Definitely going back.

I really thought I was going to like this place more then I did.For one, the parking lot was not treated and was a giant ice skating rink (photo). You guys should try to avoid people using this as a tool to take legal action, or having the drunk folks eating the pavement out there.The staff was very nice in the bar area and the place is clean and doesnt smell aside from wing sauce and smoked meat.The music at the bar was CRANKED (and I listen to loud music at work all day).. could not have a reasonable conversation with the wife. The 5 fairly drunk folk (at 4:45pm on a monday, come on guysat the bar were screaming at each other as if they were the only ones there.One nice thing is they have the bearded barrel beer on tap along with your classic domestic choices.The pub wings were 75% butter (you could see right through the sauce to the paper pattern belowand the sauce didnt adhere to the wings and tasted like spiced buttered popcorn. The fireman wings were great, that I will agree on 100%.The ribs, one thing I really thought would be the highlight... was trimmed improperly? Its like the sternum was never trimmed. You could not cut the ribs apart to save your life at the top, you needed to rotate it until the cartridge popped off (picture), hard to see but it was not edible and made getting the rib meat off much more difficult. Flavor was good but a little saddened by the general lack of quality on the ribs.Otherwise great fries and the mack and cheese was very good. Price is right, service was attentive and pleasant but it was lack luster on the food part.

Awesome place. The food was AMAZING and the prices were fair too. I had the pulled pork with fries and my date had the brisket with cheese and gravy fries. The portions are perfect. While he devoured everything on his plate, I needed a take home container. The environment is like that of your local neighborhood bar, dim lighting , juke box and darts boards. We played a round of darts while the Sunday football game played on the one tv and the x games, on mute (with cc onon the other. It felt good to be there. It was welcoming and relaxed and overall a great place to get a note to eat. We will 100% go back.

Exceptional! Service was pleasant, fast and accurate. Food was fresh, well made and hot. From the outside it would be easy to confuse this "gem" as a dive bar. The dining room is small with seating for about 30 people. I am surprised there wasnt a line out the door! Few restaurants leave me looking forward to going back, this one left me planning to go back again and again.

Uncle bucks hosted our supper club which was about 30 people. The food and service were excellent. The highlight of the night was the pagach and the brisket bites. The smoked wings, ribs, DR fries were also very good. This was my first time here and I look forward to trying the rest of their menu.

Had to try the pagach OMG was it huge going to try and freeze the left overs. They should look into a single serve for next year.

Uncle Buck came to our Anniversary Open House in his Pulled Pork Wagon. The pork was perfectly pulled. The BBQ sauce was delicious and spicy. Cant wait to see him again.

Their pagash (with steak and cheese!is amazing! The whole pie feels like it weighs 10lbs and I would easily spend the $20 for something so delicious and so filling!! Also, its very clean and the staff are very friendly! Also, their wing sauces are fantastic if you get their wings!

Food was good. I live for BBQ done like we do it in Texas. This is the closest thing to it in the area. They also have great pizza and stromboli, I have heard. It may be a little pricey but I find it to be worth it.

We had wings which were extra crunchy sauces were good...sampler platter was the very best ! I dont know what I liked more ribs pulled pork the brisket??? Cole slaw and beans were awsome as well! We Will be back soon!

Great food. Buck and Dawna are the best people the good Lord ever put breath into. They treat you like family. The service is quick and the servers are pleasant and happy.

Great people, greater atmosphere, and (somehoweven better food!! It was like hanging out at a family barbecue, enjoying everyones company, and then its dinner time! Enjoyed every moment, and looking forward to next weeks dinner special.

The quality of the food is one of the best in the BBQ World, and is second to none. This place has without a doubt amazing food, and the service quality is very good. The prices are very normal as well. We went again the very next day; ordered the pull pork dinners for my wife and I, wow!!! Was delicious.

We had our yearly family and friends July 4th Bluegrass BBQ at our home and instead of doing the cooking and missing out on the party we hired Uncle Bucks. The BBQ was top notch! We had the suckling pig ,80 lbs of moist ,juicy ,flavorful pork.The BBQ chicken also was excellent with that little heat in the back. The right blend of spice and heat. They also provided the party with the American staple Hot Dogs and Burgers ,hey after all it is the fourth.The sides ,that roasted corn was fantastic the salads all great.
