It was a nice hall
I like everything about University.
I am partial to University of Delhi for a number of reasons. The primary reason is that I got my first degree, Bachelor of Arts, in University of Delhi, in 1976. I was placed in what was then popularly known as Gandhi Class, that is, third division.
Amazing place!Attended the Global Sanskrit Forum 16-17 May 2022
This is a central University in Delhi, named as University of Delhi. Nearest metro station is Vishvidyalya. I have visited here today. I have attended an event at conference hall near by gate no.4. It is a very very good University in India.
The Delhi University, commonly known as DU, is one of the most sought-after central universities in India, with hundreds of thousands of students from across the country and abroad flocking to the university every year.Having started in 1922 quite modestly with only three colleges, DU today has as many as 77 affiliated colleges across the national capital and is highly respected as one of the countrys premier higher-education institutions. In about 100 years since it was founded, the university has grown from the strength of just 750 students to being one of India’s largest universities with 16 faculties, over 80 academic departments, and more than 700,000 students. As of date, DU has 90 affiliated, constituent and recognised colleges, and 16 faculties across Delhi, with two main campuses — North Campus and South Campus. Besides, there are several off-campus colleges, too.WelcomeDUDUFollowThe Delhi University, commonly known as DU, is one of the most sought-after central universities in India, with hundreds of thousands of students from across the country and abroad flocking to the university every year.Having started in 1922 quite modestly with only three colleges, DU today has as many as 77 affiliated colleges across the national capital and is highly respected as one of the countrys premier higher-education institutions. Nice location for students👩🎓 to study.
Too bad
Best academic cum administrative place
Examination dipartment of university of delhi is not really good at student dealing. They just make students suffer for results and other needy things. No one answers the calls and emails. Just a university which gives degree not education.
Good environment mainly student here young age.... Open minded student unversity of delhi many student doing job with their study
Beautiful placeYou can see many students carrying notes etc.Building reminds me of the colonial period.. that white touch 😁😁
Neat and clean peaceful place
very bad experience ....staff behavior is much bad.....
High spirited campus known for cosmopolitan culture
Great placeGreat peopleBehaviour of guards of Conference hall was polite
The campus is excellent. The colleges are near to each other and that what give a feeling of university. However the the University Officials are lazy, bureaucratic and authoritarian
Nice and very cooperative nature of the staff.
The University of Delhi Conference Centre is located in North campus University road. I visited there for a TED talks event and the space area for the conference is very huge. It also has a stage attached to it. Most if the conference and seminar are held here. The area is cleaned , maintained and is secured.
wow! best exp
Very beautiful infrastructure, good location.
This Conference center is quite big ...All the facilities are available here and the all area is always clean I personally noticed...
Amazingly mangaged by Delhi university..I went for some doubt regarding my revised 12th marks and the grievance cell ("specially sir V.S Mungreishieng"solved my problem in just few minutes..thanks😄👍
Great hall. Well maintained and has some of the best equipment.
Have attended Indo Nepal Ambassadprial lecture at the place organised by one of my pals. Nice place for such accommodations.
The International Conference will be held in the Conference Centre on the University of Delhi. This state of the art Conference Centre is located opposite the Department of Botany. This complex has a large air- conditioned conference hall, which can seat more than 300 people. The complex also has nine large and medium-sized committee rooms, board rooms, computer room, and space which can be used for video-conferencing and as a media centre. It has also a large room for coffee and tea breaks, a spacious and impressive lounge and a pantry. The Conference Centre has a beautiful green ambience.
Amazing and beautiful auditorium i visited most so nice maintance and curious place .well furnished , good architecture
With aroind 300 sitting capacity it is good for small to medium functions.
A regular university conference center, spacious and clean but extremely noisy, and the placement of chairs/ seating arrangement is quite inefficient, the seating is neither comfortable nor sufficient. The stage and the screen in the front of the hall is good, and this place usually holds seminars and workshops. There is adequate parking outside the Hall, on the road with completely safety. Also, it is easy to locate this area as it falls right on the main campus road.It also has a basic dining hall and smaller rooms for side events, washrooms are clean and usable.
Wonderful conference hall with good toilets, clean drinking water available and big dining hall for buffet if anyone wants to arrange. But the main hall lacks adequate amount of chairs for a large gathering. Also the audience sitting platform is straigt and not sloped so audience sitting behind face problem to see the main stage. But the building is well maintained.
The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly of the British India. The University was originally to be named Prince Charles University, but Rai Kedarnath, counselor to the Chief Commissioner of Delhi and founder of Ramjas College, argued that if the university should fail, that would certainly antagonise the Prince. He suggested the name by which it is known today. Hari Singh Gour served as the universitys first Vice-Chancellor from 1922 to 1926. Only four colleges existed in Delhi at the time: St. Stephens College founded in 1881, Hindu College founded in 1899, Zakir Husain Delhi College (then known as The Delhi College), founded in 1692 and Ramjas College founded in 1917, which were subsequently affiliated to the university. The university initially had two faculties (Arts and Scienceand approximately 750 students. The seat of power in British India had been transferred from Calcutta to Delhi in 1911. The Viceregal Lodge Estate became the residence of the Viceroy of India until October 1933, when it was given to the University of Delhi. Since then, it has housed the office of the vice-chancellor and other offices. When Sir Maurice Gwyer came to India in 1937 to serve as Chief Justice of British India, he became the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi. During his time, postgraduate teaching courses were introduced and laboratories were established at the university. Members of the faculty included Daulat Singh Kothari in Physics and Panchanan Maheshwari in Botany. Gwyer has been called the "maker of university". He served as Vice-Chancellor until 1950.The silver jubilee year of the university in 1947 coincided with Indias independence, and the national flag was hoisted in the main building for the first time by Vijayendra Kasturi Ranga Varadaraja Rao. In that year there was no convocation ceremony due to the partition of India. Instead a special ceremony was held in 1948, attended by then Prime Minister of IndiaJawaharlal Nehru, as well as by Lord Mountbatten, Lady Mountbatten, Abul Kalam Azad, Zakir Husain and Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar. Twenty-five years later the golden jubilee celebrations of 1973 were attended by then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, Satyajit Ray, Amrita Pritam and M. S. Subbulakshmi.
