The donuts have a hint of citrus to them. Cider is delicious. Fresh apple produce, farm based ice cream. Very farm happy, local & friendly! Enjoy it while its open there!
Went here for a little fun and it was indeed fun recommend for sure
This is my familys all-time favorite place to stop for fresh, delicious, yummy donuts and coffee or hot cider, and candy apples. Also vegetables, pumpkins, squash, potatoes, apples, cider, preserves, maple syrup, breads and so much more deliciousness.Today, the parking lot was jammed. So many more displays and items inside, and outside cute new tables and chairs. Its a super busy place but people were courteous and thrle line moved fast.
They have a cider slushie thats fantastic! This is a great orchard to stop in and grab a donut and cider. Both times Ive been here Ive seen them selling a lot of pies too, so I would try one of those next time!
Went to Westview today to get cider and donuts. I got the donuts but when I tried to get the cider they had a half a gallon for $8 or a gallon for $11.50. I needed a gallon but in two different half gallon containers they would not give me the gallon price. So I stopped at Verellen Orchard instead. Only $6 a half gallon there. Verellen will be my new place!! They are conveniently located off of Van Dyke just north of 29 mile.
Love their cider, apples and pies!
Bike riding on the MOT and decided to stop. The staff was so helpful!!We had an apple, donut, and a slushy.Checked out the residence chickens too.I like the smaller orchards better.
Very cute produce market near my house so I come here often.Pay attention to whats in season and ask questions like when will you run out of plums?Try the home baked cookies, sometimes I go there just for that!
Very nice employees great cider & donuts. Great pies & good produce
Nice little quick for cider and donuts. Donuts not warm.
They have the Best peach pies!!!We go often...
The hot cider and donuts were very good. Friendly staff.
Ran out of donuts super busy was the reason. Still cider and choc chip cookies will have to do. Well be back cause its right on the bike trai
Very busy as was during Peach festival. Parking is really difficult for someone who may need to use a wheelchair or walker as it is gravel, as well as not many spaces available during a busy time. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Fruits and vegetables are usually very fresh, however, they do tend to sell is a larger size than at a store which can make it more pricy. On the other hand they are a local supplier which makes this a great place to keep the local economy and people going.
Yummy donuts and baked goods but I prefer Yates. The Dutch Apple pie was a little too sweet. Cider just ok
Peaches wonderful staff fast and polite all produce was fresh and ready to go👍
Absolutely adorable little market. We got a peach pie plus my husband wanted to try the peach berry pie so we bought a slice of that which was delicious, I had already tried a slice of the peach pie a few days ago but they were out of whole pie’s and only had frozen which I didn’t really want to throw in the oven, The crust is so light and flaky And the whole pie is just yummy definitely worth stopping in and picking up a pie or at least a piece. The only issue somewhat is the parking because a lot of people already don’t know how to drive and when you have no lines for parking which they can’t because the parking is dirt and rocks that make’s somewhat confusion.
First time to go to Romeo peach festival. Purchased fresh picked peaches at Verellen Orchards they are tasty and really delicious. Look out Georgia.
They have the best donuts ever!
Really a cool little place. You can get ice cream and orchard related products. A lot of local homemade products.
I always shop June 15th for the early Michigan strawberries with the richest berry flavor. Verrellen is reliable for quality berries for my freezer.
Great location for fresh produce, highly recomme d the cideslushie its delicious!
The store is open year round. They bake pies every day. Open at 6:30 am serving coffee donuts and pie. The store front offers several varieties of apples, fruits and vegetables. I am always greeted with a friendly smile and eager assistance. The orchard is also adjacent to the Macomb Orchard Trail. I stop there when using the trail. Prices are very reasonable.
Once again over the top, off the hook, UH-Mazing service with a SMILE.Was in Romeo doing some errands, checking out Tomato & Basil, plus whenever you are in Romeo Verellens is Must Stop Pie .Rolled in at 1PM & the Legendary Linnea was on duty as was the farmers daughter Julia V( Granddaughter but you know the song)The struggle is real here, as every pie I have bought, ordered & have eaten are all superb. Our family favorites in order are1. Cherry2.Berries of the Forest3.French Silk Truly a Show Stopper! They have a large selection, your favorite is usually in stock, or they have choices in the freezer that will thaw in time for your afternoon snack or evening dessert, Id advise to call 1st and have your perfect pie, set aside.Plus if your in the mood for a plain or cinnamon donut, indulge. If your looking for a bargain, most days they have One Day Old Donuts in a 6-pack for 1/2 OFFPlenty of other baked goods, treats, & Freezer itemsAlthough it is only at 29 & Vandyke, they have the small town charm, kindness & Up North Hospitability!Verellens is a GEM in our midst.
Love picking the strawberries myself. The strawberries have a very good flavour and sweetness. Made a bunch of jam :DPricing for U-pick is by the pound. You dont need to bring your own baskets which is great unlike other places I have visited.
Oh my...bought a peach pie to bring to a family gathering...SO good!!! Will definitely stop in again, when back in the area!!
This place is so cute. I wish I had a little more parking because its kind of awkward that theres like two or maybe three unmarked spaces right by the front door. Its a tiny little store but its adorable and its open all year round which is a big bonus. They have some fresh fruits and various items. I ended up getting a pie from them. I actually wanted to get the original apple pie but I think she misheard me so she gave me the caramel one but I am totally okay with that because it is absolutely Divine and worth every penny of it. And Im very frugal so thats saying something. I will definitely be going back and Im going to take my mom and everybody else. They also have apple butter for those of you who cant find that stuff anywhere
I love to go there for their organic fruits and vegetables. Their Dutch apple pie is amazing and you have to try the blueberry donuts.
They make great pies. I drive a ways just to get them. I love blueberry but we have bought caramel apple, triple berry among other things. So good. Give them a try❤️
Great place for fresh produce!
Got 2 half bushels of peaches for canning. Perfect not a bad one in either basket. Very tasty. Staff even carried them to my car. Thank you!!!
We stopped over on Friday , We bought your Red Haven Peaches , Boy ! Those were the Best Peaches That we have ever tasted. The Peach Pie was to Die for!! Everything looked so Fresh !!! Staff. We will definitely be back! Thank You
So cute. Very fresh produce and the apples are my favorite. The donuts are fabulous as well as the cider. I have purchased sauces and baking mixes that turned out very well. Such a great place!
My husband and I love the apple cider! We recently got the apple pie with walnuts and Carmel drizzle on top. It was Phenomenal! Always friendly staff. Will continue to come here!
I have heard of this place and over the weekend, Rick and I were in the area so we stopped in. Due to the time of the year it was, we thought they had a pretty big variety. We bought two kinds of onions, red apples, celery, tomatoes, green onions, lettuce, one donut, one muffin and some apple cider. The place was clean and they were following Covid safety protocols. There was another gentleman there when we entered who had no mask on, but we just waited until he left before we went in. I would recommend this place because they had nice looking veggies and fruits and their prices were very good.
Ive always loved going to Verellens! Ive gone since I was a young girl with my family. The owners are very lovely and pleasant people and the quality of the products is great. The best cider mill I have been to in Michigan.
Verellens makes the best pies year-round. Ordered our Thanksgiving Cherry pie and picked it up curbside. As usual, it was delicious 😋
Stopped in while enjoying a day out on the Macomb Orchard Trail. First time visitor. Purchased a donut and hot chocolate for under $2.00. Verellens offers a good selection of products and there were plenty of fresh apples available.
WOW!! This place has everything, Frozen fruits and some veggies, Fresh pies, Apples YEAR ROUND, And the most incredible tasting Apple Cider I have ever tasted. I actually dilute the cider by 50% with water and it still tastes Fantastic.
The apples, apple cider, and peach mango salsa are great! The staff was also friendly 😍. We actually stopped by for doughnuts. These were by far the worst tasting doughnuts that we have ever picked up from an apple orchard. My kids are not picky and they couldnt eat them. We have a theory that either the doughnuts that we ordered were not the ones that we received, or that we had a bad batch. I noticed that they made a variety of doughnuts, thus we may have gotten some with peach flavor. Our other theory was that maybe the batter had crossed with some other flavor. I actually ended up stopping at Yates later that day to pick up doughnuts for my family after spending over $30 at this place. It was 😎 though since everyone was pleasant. We didnt smell fresh doughnuts being made once we got out of the car which should have been a red flag. Id definitely go back for everything else though.
Visit her 2 to 3 times per month. Have purchased bread, fruit, vegetables and of course donuts! Always great quality food and excellent customer service. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming.
Went on a busy Sunday to get donuts & apples. They had 3 cashiers so the line went fast & they are very friendly. They have "no sugar" pies available which are very good & the best donuts. The prices for everything are better than anybody in the area.
Peach pie is best here then anywhere else in the world! Everything else is really very good too. Fresh sweetcorn is sweet, juicy and crunchy, just dont over cook it just like any other vegetables, once over cooked nobody likes them duh.
By far the best value and best apple pies anywhere. Lots of varieties of apples. Customer help is always great. They are adjacent to the Macomb Orchard Trail and are open early. I stop for coffee and a slice of pie. They also have donuts.
A great stop when riding your bikes down the Macomb Orchard Trail. The prices are reasonable and they have an assortment of donuts such has cherry and blueberry with glaze. I also heard the pies are great which we plan on getting next time we are in the area.
Our family went to another orchard close by and ended up leaving due to overpriced and poor quality goods. We drove down to Verellen and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and fair pricing of all the fall favorites. We purchased a beautiful pumpkin for $5, and as of this writing it is still going strong almost a month later!! The donuts, cider, apples and corn were fresh, and tasted delicious compared to other places we have gone. You can tell a place is good when the line is long, so our family had no problem waiting! Looking forward to seeing you again in 2020!
Nice and quaint cidermill in Washington Township. The store is on the small side, but there is a good amount of parking for visitors. The cider is excellent. It had a nice apple juice like flavor that went well with the donuts. There was a variety of donuts, plain, cinnamon, chocolate and vanilla frosted. Very yummy. They also had a selection of pies, and while I didnt try them, they did look delicious. There was some seating out front under an awning, which was convenient as the day my family and I visited there was some rain. Overall a nice place to go for a fall visit.
In a town known for orchards this is one of the best. They are open year round and have the best cider in town in season, and its a great place to run in for bread and eggs.
We picked strawberries, sweet cherries and tart cherries.... they all tasted so good. The berries were so sweet and yummy... kids enjoyed so well... u get mineral water at the ticketing kiosk there...
Absolutely, the BEST cider, donuts and pies in the area. Their cider is amazing...its not the thick cloudy kind, its the only cider my family craves! We wouldnt go anywhere else for fresh pies and donuts either. Great place and friendly workers too👍
