Village Court Family Restaurant in Cerro Gordo County

Food was not great, service was slow. When I went to leave tip at table, the bus person sprayed me with chemical cleaner.

Breakfast is their specialty but their other menu items are not bad either! Make sure you go at the right time on Sundays as you will be fighting a crowd

The staff was very friendly and quick to provide service. We highly recommend the breakfast ... ANY breakfast ... at any time of day. The food was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable.

I dont know what happened, but this place used to be a favorite. Friday the food was awful. My husbands steak looked and tasted boiled and oily. My chicken Alfredo was terrible. The garlic bread with dry with garlic salt not cooked in. Server was nice. Gave us wrong bill.

Always great food! Very affordable! Family friendly. Will continue to go back again and again. Ive never had a bad meal or bad service. The servers are always friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate your requests.

Big menu with many wonderful choices and several daily specials. Pork tenderloins sandwiches were all excellent.

I would highly recommend not eating at this restaurant took 50 minutes to get our food and They only took $6 off Our bill.

Great place for a cheap and fast breakfast! The staff is friendly and it’s a really down to earth environment which I personally appreciate. I love that you can eat and feed 2 people for under $20! That’s amazing, especially with how the economy is right now.

Great family place. Everyone is so friendly. Food was delicious and very decent priced for a family of 5 our bill was around $50. We will definitely come back whenever we are driving through Mason City.

On a very bust Saturday morning, our group of 5 met for a delicious breakfast. Since they were so busy, the waitresses were helping each other as they had time. We had three different waitresses helping us with our food, coffee, and water. The food was scrumptious!

Our north Iowa club has a breakfast here regularly. We also sometimes meet here as a group for supper.We always get amazing service, even with the fact that sometimes we end up being a rather large party. They make room for us as quickly as they can and the servers take good care of the group!

I get off work at 6 am, breakfast is great, specials daily of good home cooked meals, and I can have a glass of wine, so i can relax and go home & sleep well.

Food is very well priced for what you get their breakfast bar is one of my favorites. One of my go tos is the country fried steak. Friendly people always working there and the owners sometimes check in on you to see how your food was its always good to see owners making sure that their restaurant is making the public happy.

Village Court Family restaurant gets five stars and my book! We went on a Sunday morning even though it was pretty busy we still had super fast service and our waitress was great! We tried the cream cheese stuffed pancakes with strawberries on top and the house omelet, we were not disappointed! I would definitely recommend village Court Family restaurant.

My husband and I dined in, our waitress did a good job. The place was pretty full, our food took a bit long but I chalked it up to what we selected (broasted chicken and steak). Upon leaving we approached the counter for our to go order, while there the hostess came over as to ring us up and I explained we had already paid. The hostess then asked our waitress if we had paid, as if I was lying. I pulled out my copy of the receipt and handed it to her since she needed proof. We thanked our waitress and walked out hurriedly as I was very embarrassed. We were pleased with our meal and planned on returning but not after the way the hostess questioned my integrity.

Service was wonderful and momasa’s were huge! All in all an awesome experience! Definitely coming back!

We were first timers, the service started out really great. After our order was taken we didnt see our waitress until the bill. The food was good though!

We have been eating here for years and its always been wonderful. This was horrible. The waitress didnt get to us for over 10 minutes. Never came back to check our drinks and the food took 30 minutes to arrive. Really disappointed ☹️

Great service. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. Food was good. Several ordered the breakfast buffet while others ordered French toast or omelettes. Chicken fried steak was a smaller portion but good flavor.

Delicious food, and very friendly, good service. We love eating at local one-off restaurants, and this one is very suitable for taking our little kids. The menu is very homey and comforting, and the prices are fantastic. It is becoming a favourite for going out as a family.

OMW!!!! This food is amazing. When she brought out our meals you could just look at the fries and we knew we were in for a big treat. The burgers were juicy, the ruben was delicious, and the fries were hot, crispy and delicious. If you get a chance to check out this place, i highly recommend it. Oh ya... the service was quick and friendly. We were in and out and back on the road in no time.

Everyone in our family loves eating here. They have a breakfast buffet on Sunday. The down side is I like peanut butter on my pancakes and salsa on my eggs. Both of which cost 49 cents for a 2oz cup

Village Court is what I like to call, a cheaper, but better Perkins. With as much food as you could eat for Waffle House pricing is amazing.I had the breakfast skillet, full order of biscuits and gravy, and a plate of two pancakes. Along with my wife and daughter with their food, all of our food combined only cost us $40. Fantastic pricing for fantastic food.Give them a try. I recommend the Denver or Golden skillets. 10/10 dishes.

Great breakfast, the breakfast skillet was excellent. I asked for extra crispy hash browns and poached eggs, both were perfect. The pecan pancakes were excellent too. Great service too.

Was told I could seat myself. Waited for at least 5 minutes before anyone came by table. All of the waitresses just stood behind the bar. Watched others get seated and served right away. Ordered liver and onions that everyone talks highly of. Mine had a lot of grissel. The salad and drink was good and that’s about all. I think they realized they messed up earlier because after I got my food , 2 waitresses kept stopping to ask how things were.

We had a group of uncles, cousins, ect. For a once in quite a few years get together. All said they enjoyed the food. We had 12 people. Our waitress was fantastic . Great place to go when we are able to get back to Mason City.

It was super slammed because its so good, and the staff was amazing at juggling so many people and keeping up somehow. The food was obviously amazing too, the Sunday buffet is an great deal and they keep it filled/stocked even with the high demand for it, the prices are way good. Love this place. Great job staff too.

It, was nice to spend time with my friend but I personally felt like we were ignored. It took the waiter 15min to bring our check and he finally paid us attention when we damn near yelled across the restaurant. I ordered an omelette with a few extra add ones and they gave me what they wanted me to have. But I must say the french toast was pretty good. But the can do better when they get new customers.

We stopped by this nice restaurant 40 minutes before their closing time. And they gave us a great service. Very friendly and the food is really good. They patiently waited for us to finish. I recommend the chicken Philly, it is really tasty. Prices are not bad either, you should give it try.

This restaurant is very popular with the locals and for good reason. Food is delicious , portions are generous, and their staff is always friendly and efficient. We enjoy the hardy breakfasts and all the other dishes on their large menu. This is a family owned and managed restaurant. Open 7 days week . Every town should be so fortunate to have a Village Court Family Restaurant - they love their customers and it shows!

We had a group breakfast with 20 people early in the morning with one days notice. Thats a very short notice for a place thats that busy. They were very accommodating and the food was delicious. Our waitress was awesome and I appreciate her hard work! Thank you so much.

This place was great. It was so busy but we didnt have to wait to be seated nor did we have to wait for anything really. The waitress was quick and our food arrived surprisedly quick too. It was nice to see everyone working there hustling. I saw a bus boy practically running to do his job. The selection was huge but our food was wonderful. I cant wait to go back.

The food was far better than national chains. The servers are attentive and polite even during busy times. Cost was very good for the level of excellence I experienced. It isnt overly expensive or overly cheap. I have eaten here twice even though I cant really afford to go out to eat. The food is that good.
