Excellent food and service, one of our favorite dinner spots. Honestly I dont think there is a bad meal at Wagon Wheel ! The menu is huge and the food great!

Always a good choice for good food. Have had their pizzas, burgers, nachos, and never leave hungry. Personal favorite is the pizza burger. Fries are always crispy. Staff is hustling around and very friendly. Can usually find seating right away or minimal wait time. Have not tried the bowling section but can usually find families out there enjoying it. They do offer specials throughout the year (drinks included).

The wagon wheel of Portland is always amazing!! Great food, Great atmosphere, always multiple groups of friends get together there. And if you have time you can always bowl a few frames.

We werent sure what to expect upon approaching the restaurant with an attached bowling alley.... But we are so very glad we stopped. Spacious and well decorated dining area made us feel very comfortable. I believe my "seasonal adult drink" a bit too pricey, but husbands beer was reasonable. We both enjoyed our meals, I have to admit, their pot roast is much better than mine, melt in your mouth good! (But I do make better mashed potatoes 😆)This will definitely be one of our new stopping places when crossing I96.

Our first time to stop here on our way through the area. The place was busy, but we were seated within about 20 minutes. A nice atmosphere, great waitstaff and the food was delicious. Good portion sizes and decently priced. We will definitely stop back when we are in the area.

Crispy Chicken and Waffles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Try it ASAP! I was told they might take it off the menu if people arent ordering it! They are by far the best chicken and waffles Ive ever had (visitor from VA), and its in sandwich form! It can be eaten with a fork and knife if desired, as I mistakenly began to do until corrected by my more informed cousin. Eating it as a sandwich is the best method for sure. It is a bit spicy, but that is part of what I loved about it. The chicken was delicious, the waffle was on point, and the toppings were exactly what this meal needed but nothing more. It makes it on my short list of best foods, no doubt. Ill be sad to see it go if that becomes its fate.

The decor is pretty cool they have a large wood oven out on tbe floor,staff is very friendly has a bowling alley in the same building and the food omg it is so good

Wow first time and the place is fabulous!!! The wife had the Cod Basket I had to 8 oz Sirloin and it was Outstanding!!! We will be back for sure!!!

Saw the billboard & decided to stop. Glad we did. Nice setup next to a bowling alley. Good food. Salad bar was fresh & drinks were great. Service was good too.

Didnt really care for the fajitas I got and the refried beans were just unedible!!!

This review is based solely on our service tonight, not on the food or overall restaurant. We love The Wagon Wheel. The food is great and the atmosphere is wonderful, however tonight was an absolutely horrible experience. Our waitress (if you can even call her thatKarley B never checked on us. Not once. No “how’s the food?”. No “can I get you a refill?”. No “would you like dessert?” The only time we saw her was when she dropped a box off with the check and brought my card back. Too bad too because not only would she have gotten my 25%+ standard tip, but we would’ve given the WW more revenue. Unfortunately because of her we won’t be back.

Mmmmmmm good ! What a great place to stop on your way up north. My boyfriend loved the redneck tea and the burgers were great !

Great food and service. We bowled and the lanes actually tell you how fast you are throwing the ball, so that was kinda cool. They have pull tabs and a skill game were you can win cash cards.

ordered cheese bread sticks and there was no cheese. this used to be a good, consistent spot for us, but I dont think well be back. big let down, especially because prices have gone up

we have been here several times and this was not a pleasant experience! The food was not good, overly salty steak and dry burger . the Monday night special is chicken/steak fajitas. Dont waste your time or money! I ordered the combo and there was very little meat in the bowl with peppers and it was all over cooked and chared! Best thing on the plate was the rice and beans! Service was mediocre as well!

Decent food for the price. However, our server was not very attentive. Ordered tea and coffee, but received no spoons or stir sticks. When we asked, she brought them to the table, set them down, said "here", and walked away. Never got asked if I needed a refill on my coffee.

Overpriced garbage. $30 for 2 kids to eat. Been here a number of times and food is average at best. Typically screw-up my order as well. Unfortunate as there are very few options in Portland.

Food was good. They were very busy and the staff was a bit overwhelmed. Took a long time to get the food. Then had to ask for silverware and napkins. Server was very pleasant.

Ordered the special steak fajitas. Well I ate the steak with my first few tortillas and then questioned the waitress because the steak portion was small she responded that many complaints about that were made manager made good and resolved it by giving me a refund for another meal thank you

Ive actually never been here but Ive done work for the owners and they are great people and very down to earth and appreciative. If they treat their business like they treat the people that work for them it must be an awesome establishment. Thank you for being an amazing customer.

Nice place which shares the building will a bowling alley. I ordered a fish (codsandwich and onion rings. Sandwich was decent, two.pieces of fried fish, lettuce and some tartar. Sandwich was good, nothing exceptional, but good. Onion rings were ok, kinda moist, not crunchy, almost tasted watery. Great service, high prices. Its was nice to check out a new to me place. I might eat there if I was passing by, but the prices and average food isnt going to lure me into a special trip.

Staff was friendly, they had a small lunch buffet. Ive also been here for dinner, the food is good but nothing too grandiose. It is a fun place to go because they have bowling and games as well.

So tonight was my first time visiting. I didnt even think about the fact I was going on mothers day. My server had a few 5-8 top tables and my little 2 top. Kylea was amazing. She was absolutely slammed as was the whole restaurant but she was still amazing. The chicken Alfredo was mouthwatering and my wet burrito simply perfect. Highly recommend.

Outstanding food. Flatbread with BBQ Mac n Cheese was top notch. Husbands chef salad was full of fresh ingredients. Generous kids portions. Our waitress was very sweet! Refreshing to have great service and wonderful food, well done Wagon Wheel!

Best burgers hands down. I had the. BBQ western burger, wife had the jalapeno popper burger both were great. The onion rings were on point as well. Great atmosphere, big surprise is that there is a bowling alley in the building. We didnt partake, but maybe next time!

Beer chez soup, a go! California Ruben, so/ so, fries, ok. Hubby gotta burger, he said 3 out of 5 stars. Lots of speciality beers, packed on a Sat. Local joint. Good enough to come back. ✌

We did a bowling party here with friends an rented the whole place. They have nice lanes. The bumpers are automatic for each person. Very nice if your bowling with littles. Mike was awesome an accommodating for our large group. We will be coming back. Pizza an nachos were also delicious.

I went bowling here with my family and it was a good experience. Staff was friendly and service was great. Food was pretty good, Id say better than most bowling alleys. Lanes were well taken care of and the place was fairly clean. Seating was a little cramped and crowded. Overall good experience, Ill most likely bowl here again.

My family and I have been wanting to come here for a few months, and were glad we finally came here! The service was good, our waiter Cody, was very nice. The food was some of the best weve had since moving to Michigan! We ordered a pizza, a burger, and a blt. And they were all amazing.

This was an amazing place to stop and eat! The atmosphere is amazing. And the food was great. My son got a personal pizza that was amazing and well beyond what I expected when he ordered it. I got the BLT and it was fantastic and had a great amount of bacon! Our server was attentive and amazing as well! I will definitely be coming here again.

I was delighted though when I found that the closest charge stations in Portland were at the very restaurant I was going to. I cant overstate how much this made my day. We had a nice lunch too. Very clean, bright and welcoming!! Staff was amazingly friendly. Service was quick. We ordered a pizza, it was delicious, waitress said the bread sticks were good and she wasnt wrong. Glad we went ahead and got a half order to share. Really wish this place was closer to home. Its about a 30min drive for us, we stopped in on our way home from a day in grand rapids. We said wed come back for sure!

What a great place for a good lunch or dinner. Clean restaurant with friendly service. The lunch buffet is always stocked with hot pizza and soup. The chicken and rice soup is phenomenal. Theres also a salad bar and bread sticks that come with it, for $8.95. this place has a nice clean bowling alley inside too.

Food was hot and fresh and the wood fired oven pizza is also a nice feature (this place is also a bowling alleyservice was prompt.

Enjoyed it so much - I stopped a SECOND time - on my way home from this weekends trip to Lake Michigan! Enjoyed a delicious signature Cheeseburger on my way west on Saturday & had the Grilled Chicken Club going east on my way home today! Service was excellent and the food was VERY good! Ill definitely be back.

For our non traditional family events, this past Christmas, we met at Wagon Wheel for superb pizza, great friendly service by the staff, met the owner who was helping out right next to his employees. And the bowling lanes?! Very well taken care of. My fiance and I enjoy this sport and will drive an hour and a half with the hope we can reserve a lane. As you will see from the photo, he bowled a 200!!

Great service. Knowledgable waitress about menu items. Cheese sticks were delicious and came out early in time to enjoy before my Burger. I would recommend stopping in for a bite to eat. Maybe even enjoy a few games of bowling.
