Watch me learn is a great pre-school, and I have visited a lot! I think it speaks for itself. Simply visit and you will agree this is a great school. I had the privilege to work there. The staff and teachers care about the kids and give them a personalized approach. Look at the overall happiness of the children and you will feel good knowing the kids are in a positive environment. Talk with Ellaine or Sandy for a tour. Highly recommended!
My daughter has been at WML since she was a year and a half, she is now 3. She loves going to "school" as we call it. All of her teachers and aides have been so amazing. She has excelled here because of how attentive her teachers are. There is a structure styled around play and learning, which has helped my daughter grow tremendously. I was worried of sending her to daycare after being home with her for so long, but my husband and I are so glad she is at WIL. You feel like you are part of a family here, everyone knows my daughters name, and are very friendly. The few instances where she has gotten hurt, we were told what happened, and given an accident report. Kids will get hurt, its inevitable. But how The occurrences were handled helped put my mind at ease. The owner and director are really great, always avaible to answer any questions. The security of the building puts my mind at ease that my daughter is in a safe enviroment. The classrooms are nice and big, and very clean. The open outdoor space and play area for the kids is one of my daughters favorite parts. I highly recommend WML.
I am extremely proud to say that weve entrusted the care of our sons to the amazing staff at Watch Me Learn for over 4 years! We have had the pleasure of having our children spend time in every area of the school from an infant of 4 months to a 5 year old enjoying h the Summer Camp program. The teachers and staff at Watch Me Learn are caring, loving, and supportive. The love they have for each and every child in their care, the pride they take in creating a warm, loving environment for every child to learn and grow, is evident. Im thankful that they have played so large a part in the lives of my family. I will be so sad when my youngest "graduates" from the school. If youre looking for an amazing child care/pre-school experience, I highly recommend visiting Watch Me Learn and seeing first hand what an incredible school it is. And while you may be impressed with the wonderful building and all it has to offer, you will be blown away by the talented, friendly, and wonderful staff who make you feel like a part of the family. What a wonderful "family" to belong to!!
For anyone who is considering Watch Me Learn Daycare in Woolwich, please read this post. I have worked in the field of education for almost two decades. I have a doctorate in education and I am currently a school administrator. When my son was 12 weeks old, I enrolled him in WML. The infant room was great. The teachers were attentive and my child appeared to be happy. When he was about a year old, he moved to the next classroom. Over a period of 6 months, my son was hurt 10 times. Only 7 injuries were reported to me. Each time my child was hurt, I was told that it was my childs fault. He was bitten because they think he pulled a little boys shirt (it happened so quickly they couldnt tell me exactly what happened). Another time he was bitten when he and two other children were fighting over a toy (it was one of the two children, but they arent sure which child bit him). He cracked his head on the corner of something because his right foot turns in or maybe he needed new shoes (they werent sure if he hit his head on the corner of the wall or on the crib). Upon further investigation I learned that each time my son was hurt, he was not being properly supervised. I would ask the teachers what happened and I received responses such as,"Dont ask me, I was changing a diaper" or "I didnt see it happen, I was taking the garbage out."Finally, I was giving my son a bath and discovered what appeared to be scratches from an adults finger nails on his arm. When I inquired about this injury, I was told by the owner that maybe its eczema and I should take my son to the doctor. It was clearly a scratch, not eczema. The next day my son had a huge gash across his nose and eye when I picked him up (also not reported to me). Around this time, my son was displaying a great deal of anxiety at drop off. He would cling to us and cry every morning. I finally asked the director to check the camera to determine how my child was hurt. After several days with no response, I called the director and was told that she did not see anything on the video. The owner followed up with an email that stated that I should find a new school for my son if I do not think my son is being properly supervised. I was told that I had two weeks to find a new school. I also learned that within days of my final complaint, my sons teacher who had worked at WML for 7 years was fired. I couldnt help but wonder if it had to do with the scratches on my sons arm.In my experience at WML I found the owner and her staff to be defensive and rude. They showed a blatant disregard for my sons safety and happiness. Rather than taking responsibility for incorrect staff to child ratios, failure to communicate properly or to report incidents, they suggested that my child was at fault each time he was hurt. Granted, I know a one year old will fall and occasionally be hurt. But I expect that someone should be able to tell me exactly how it occurred and assure me that they will try harder to keep my child safe.My child attends a new daycare and once again loves school. There is no clinging or crying at drop off, and after four months at his new school he has not been injured. The staff communicates with us frequently and effectively, the appropriate level of supervision is always provided, and most importantly my child is happy. As an educator and as a parent, I would strongly suggest that you look into other schools in the area before selecting Watch Me Learn.
Way to expensive for the teachers not to do there jobs. Paid for his pictures a month ago never received them. He has sun screen never used it on my son so he got sun burned on his little cheeks. The one teacher speaks sometimes when I dropped my son off very rude and stuck up at this place. My son will not be coming back.He always had someone else clothes or snacks in his book bag.
