Waterfall Cafe & Martini Bar in Providence County

Stay away from this place. We waited for 30 min for a simple order of scrambled eggs and French toast. I was going to offer my help to make it. Finally, the food arrived, burned, tasteless, French toast left a strange aftertaste in my mouth that lingered even after I brushed my teeth. My fault of not checking reviews. Terrible experience.The choice of background music is awful: you do not play loud, upbeat, cheerful classical music when you make your customers wait for that long, especially contemporary classical music which is an acquired taste even for musicians.

Very beautiful & quaint location, friendly service, reasonable prices, limited menu and nice meals.

Prices are decent, quality is ok.service is good. Menu is small but food comes out quick.More of a quick service kind of place.

Do not waste your time. Sat down, ordered, asked for cream with our coffee, twice, both people never brought it, so we had to ask the table next to us. Got one juice and it was the smallest glass and only half way full. Was told they had no orange juice. First person received their food, then ten min later the other two and then another ten minutes later the last person in our group. Pancakes were burnt and the kids wouldnt eat them. Asked for bacon and told them they forgot it, they never brought it out after ten min of us being done so we just left. Yet, they still tried to charge us for it. Had to awkwardly ask to pay our bill while the waitress was singing. I have no idea whats going on with this place, but its horrible.

Menu could have had more options, when we went they were out of just about everything, no OJ, no milk, not even any butter. When my GF ordered a bagel with butter they didnt even bother to tell her they were out, they just gave it to her plain. She had to ask if they buttered it and then thats when they bothered to tell us they were all out.

Few have fallen as far from grace as the waterfall cafe; Food was bad, which is weird because it’s breakfast food. Menu is cut down and uninspiring. The new owners should try something else or maybe just double down and destroy the restaurant completely

This is not the Waterfall Cafe it once was. The food was terrible, borderline inedible, and the coffee was full of grounds. The menu is extremely limited as well. Sad to see this place fall decline so much!

Food was mediocre and the one and only waitress is walking around and singing while everyone is waiting for their food for LONG periods of time. Tables aren’t being cleared and she is just singing… I WANT MY FOOD

We’ll when our breakfast starts with waitress telling us they have no orange juice and no butter and from the window I can see a market . We knew we were in for a bad ride. Coffe could have take rust oh metal . Please stay away

Burnt pancakes, overcooked eggs, bad and unpleasant service. Literally had to ask for everything. Took way too long for being the only people in the restaurant. I’d be surprised if this through the season. Go elsewhere.

Hour &1/2 after we sat down we finally were served an awful breakfast. Charging for extra maple syrup? Whoever is running this whatever you wanna call it, has no business running a eatery . Cold coffee, warm OJ well done eggs it really was a bad experience, never will we eat here again

Without a doubt the worst dining experience i’ve ever had. I would give zero stars if I could. Not a single waitress came to check on us and take our order. The only way we would be acknowledged is if we went up to the counter where the main waitress was sitting the entire time. We waited 40 minutes for a second round of coffee, which we never even received. You cannot get water here as their water is contaminated. After waiting an hour, we asked what the status of our food was. Apparently, they had given our food to a different customer and lost our ticket number. There were only four tables seated at this time, so I’m not sure where the confusion was. The main waitress was sitting the entire time and did not get up to check on our table once. The only person actually working was an underage girl. In summary, we could not get a second round of coffee and we never received our food. No one checked on our table, so they never would have noticed if we hadn’t gone up to the counter and asked. The worst service I have ever experienced.

Waterfall is struggling for wait staff to the point of 2 chefs running food, bussing tables and cooking at the same time.Chefs were great, tried very hard and food was delicious.Hats off gentlemen 🥰, great job.P.s. menu is changed from whats onlineThings have really been looking good for the waterfall Cafe. This is definitely NOT The Waterfall Cafe that it once was. Clearly covid has not been kind to this place. I knew as soon as I saw the menu, the old cook was gone. All the previous reviews are all true. The restaurant should not be your personal High School Musical performance. There used to be people waiting in the hallway to eat here. Also note you cannot get water here unless u pay for it. This is a sinking ship and sad to see it happen.

While waiting for an hour and a half to get food, three parties walked out and complained about the service. The place had 5 tables seated total and turned people away at the door. While waiting the staff sang show tunes. Our food came out in to-go boxes as they said they had no clean plates. The orders were incorrect. The worst service that I had experienced.

The food was pretty good but the service was horrible. We waited about 15-20 minutes just to get our drinks and were never offered refills. We waited about an hour for our food while our waitress put on a show singing for the customers. Don’t get me wrong she has a beautiful voice, but I came for a breakfast sandwich not a concert. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not so good! Food did not taste good, dirty tables all around us (and no other people in the restaurant soooo…and the server… she was very chatty and we learned about her whole life story- not necessary when I am eating.

Atrocious. This was easily the worst breakfast I have had in my entire life. The eggs were overcooked. The "Breakfast potatos" were burnt and inedible. The fruit was gross and slimy. The toast was untoasted and drenched in butter. I would rather go hungry than ever eat here again.

I have had French host in many restaurants but Waterfall has the best ever. Just wish they had more vegan options for my husband so he could enjoy as much as do.

Don’t waste your time. The experience left much to be desired. We came for the view and a quick breakfast, and left completely unsatisfied. My husbands OJ was warm, our scrambled eggs were over cooked and rubbery, and the toast was so dry it was nearly inedible. The disorganization of the supplies and non-restaurant beverage cups and bottles covering dining tables should have been our first red flag, the unprofessional banter from the young “adults” running the place and lack of customer service should have been the second. We should have just left and gone elsewhere in town before we spent $40 at this establishment. The owners and upper management should honestly be ashamed. For such an upscale area this place is a huge disappointment.

Im typically not one to complain, as a waitress myself for many years, i understand how hard things are right now, but this place is definitely not one I would recommend. We originally came for the view, assuming "waterfall cafe" meant we may have a view of the falls, there are exactly 2 seats in the restaurant that may have a little view of the falls. The menu is extremely scarce, and they had ran out of several of the items on the already limited menu. The waitress had to ask me to repeat my drink order twice, and still brought a coffee and 2 orange juices, when we order one coffee, an orange juice and a coke. I understand they are short staffed, but the waitress was very clearly not thrilled to be there, even with the restaurant almost entirely empty. The prices were also insanely high in relation to other restaurants in the area, especially in regards to the food quality. The reviews and photos from years prior made it seem like a good choice, but listen to the more recent reviews, Im not sure what changed so drastically, but something clearly did. Skip this restaurant, there are many others in the area.

Definitely listen to these reviews, they are true. An empty restaurant greeted me as did the girl who paused her show on her phone to greet me when I walked up. Food definitely was off, tasted over cooked and bland. Stay away from the fruit, it’s slimy. Plenty of other places to go, skip this one.

Delicious food, super fast service and wonderful location

This used to be my #1 go to for breakfast / brunch. Unfortunately, no more. This is the second time recently that the food was below average. Today: Omelette was rubbery, toast came out not buttered (no jelly on the table, and the waitress only came over after we ate to give us the billand the fruit cup that was advertised as part of the meal never showed up. I completely understand being short staffed and lack of supplies. However, server attention aside, still give it 1 star due to quality of food.

We had been coming here for years and it was my favorite breakfast place but when we returned post Covid we were so disappointed. We should have been tipped off that it was 1/2 empty on a Saturday morning & the previous woman in charge was nowhere to be seen. The menu was sparse and the food mediocre. Such a let down after looking forward to it for such a long time! Wishing the old management, menu and deliciousness was still there!

Menu was very limited for breakfast and food was not very good we went here several times prior to covid and food was very good wait staff was very inexperienced

Went for the location, food was vood..service not soo much , they clearly have some issues . I know there are staffing issues all over but there were just as much staff as patrons and service was bad..sorry

In the past we have loved this restaurant buy today was a different experience. The food was mediocre at best. The scrambled eggs were chopped to little, tiny pieces and the toast came out cold. I had to tell the waiter what was included in my meal as just eggs and fruit came out and I should have had eggs, fruit, toast and hash browns. We even had to ask for silverware. Very frustrating

Very nice and picturesque place to have a breakfast.The shortage of staff, due to covid, means it might take over an hour for breakfast. The staff was very open about this and did great job. Just ask before getting seated how long it will be.

Used to be a great place to go. Every time in the past you would show up to a wait with the place packed and 3 waitresses running around. The restaurant is now over half empty and theyre turning customers away to close early because they are understaffed; 1 cook, 1 dishwasher, and 1 waitress. Theyve eliminated a lot of the choices on the menu and ran out of several things available on the already limited menu. Half our meals came out cold and we had to get our own silverware. They didnt even have napkins to use and I watched someone else clean their own table. The owners should be ashamed to have opened back up in these conditions.

We waited 20 minutes on a Friday morning just for coffee and had to constantly flag the only waitress down to remind her things we were still waiting on. There werent a lot of patrons eating in there either and it was very clear this wasnt her niche as no urgency was displayed at any point in the hour and ten minutes it took us to finally get out of there.

Nice to look at, but eat elsewhere....trust me on this. Worse Cook ever.

Food was really good. Coffee ☕ horrible. And it was 2.50 for a cup. Our waitres was great but the other review was correct they were waiting for a very long time for their check, several tables. The food was great quality and cooked perfect. Our waitres was great. Someone needs to learn how to make coffee and they need to purchase quality coffee ☕ I would have given this place 5stars but the coffee ☕ horrible

Not usually a hard critic but this place is Horrible. 1 waitress for the entire place. Toast with rock hard butter that doesn’t spread. Half poured drinks. Half hour to order food after we got there and another half hour to get the bill after being finished.

Food is good but they said 30 mins now it’s been 1 30 mins and friend just throw up bec he starving and some people just got in and now there getting severed before us

Both the atmosphere and the food are great! The peach bellinis are amazing and the Bloody Mary bar is perfect for those weekend brunches. The wait staff work really hard and make a point to make everyone feel comfortable. Definitely worth a visit!!

Last minute looked for a place for brunch in Meredith....ended up being a great experience with amazing food. Will definitely be back for the Eggs Benedict! Everyone loved their food and the waitress and other staff were extremely friendly and helpful!!

We had breakfast here while staying at Mill Falls at the Lake. Its a very cozy spot serving breakfast and lunch. We were warmly greeted and seated right away on a Saturday morning. Very nice reasonably priced menu and the food was delicious and piping hot as was the coffee. Our waitress Amber was so friendly. If this cafe was near our home, we would definitely keep it as a favorite spot with a lovely view of the falls.

A great place for breakfast or lunch. Great service. A good selection of breakfast items and a cut above the local diners. If you havent been here yet you should give it a try!

Came with some girlfriends and had a blast. Cozy, comfort food, amazing customer service. The girls here were so sweet. On a lucky day, youll have a window seat overlooking some spectacular views.The restroom was small but well maintained.

Great breakfasts in a charming lake house atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly and food was plentiful and delicious. There is limited seating so on busy days be prepared to wait or go during the less busy hours.

Waitress is friendly and attentive, been coming here for years and can always count on awesome service and a great breakfast.

Good quality basic brunch cafe - not big and I bet it gets busy in the summer so perhaps worth avoiding then, otherwise definitely one of the top brunch locations in Meredith.

Great food, nice view... The wait staff is really great, too. I live when my days journey lands me in Meridith for breakfast. So relaxing.

This is THE place to go for breakfast in Meredith. Its on the top floor of a complex with lots of little stores - you can park up by the store though there is more parking down by Daniel Webster Highway (took us a while to find the first time).I felt compelled to post this as the other place we went in town was just plain bad (our kids didnt even like the fruit (that had been sitting in sugar water but seemed old). Both were the same price.

love going to Waterfall for breakfast! Such a quaint venue that overlooks the lake and has that "cozy lake house feel" prices are more than fair and service is always great!

Went there for Breakfast on Sept. 7, 2015 was told a table for two would be ready in 5-10 mins. As we wait they started to seat other people of two before us and they got there after us! When asked why I got dumb stares from the staff as if I were speaking a different language!!! I guess if you look different, you get treated different. Will never go there again and I will be sure to spread the word. Bad for Business!!!
