I originally called for a price check and it was way cheaper than the place I was going to first go to. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful and kind. When I went to drop my car off the secretary was very nice as well. Welchs called for me to approve any work to be done before they did any work on my car. They actually suggested something else to be done to my car to help Mt transmission life rather than what I brought it in for. Me not knowing a clue about cars was impressed by the honesty, helpful, and all around good service. The bill was cheaper than originally priced going in. I will not take my car any other place from here on out and highly recommend Welchs!!

It is hard to find a mechanic you trust and that will not charge you an arm and a leg for work. I hate taking my vehicle anywhere but to Brady at Welches in Bluffton. He has always been honest and fair. There is a reason he won readers choice for best mechanic. I drive 45 minutes to take my car to him.

I took both of our His and Hers Ford Rangers in. Both in tip top shape, I have 8k on new motor and Trans, everything mechanical NEW welches gave us crazy list of expensive repairs! Had new electric window actuator installed: Destroyed my door panel and Welches swears it was already that way! If you are a woman dont take your vehicle here! Brady Treated my wife horrible!

I brought my car in to have it looked at, and ended up finding out the timing chain of my car was about to go out, and that it needed replaced. Looked for chain replacement kits after they had told me it would cost over $2,200 to fix, the most expensive kit I could find cost a maximum of $550. I declined and told them I couldnt afford for them to replace it, to which they responded I owed them over $280 for simply taking the engine apart, and running a diagnostic test. Over the phone, the lady I was talking to said the the diagnostic test would probably cost $57 dollars, and on the itemized receipt it said the test ran me $108. I personally feel like thats a pretty big difference in cost. Not to mention that the remaining cost of the transaction was over $140, and the guy mentioned that it took a little over an hour to take apart and put the engine back together, which means the labor there is inconceivably overpriced. And to top off my experience, I came to find that the temporary plates I had brought the car in with were missing. I thought my memory was unreliable, so I checked the seats, and the back of the car, afterwards I even walked back in to ask if I had brought the car in with plates. They told me I didnt, but when I got back into the car to leave, I found the plastic sleeve that once held the plate on the floor, which leads me to believe that either my plates were stolen while my vehicle was in their care, or they took the plates off for some reason. They lied to me in either scenario. Costumer service was also terrible, the lady at the front desk was rude with me before I even had the chance to get upset with her. Dont bring your car here, youll either be scammed, or be treated like youre stupid.

Brady did an excellent job diagnosing the bad sensor in my 32 year old truck. I’m really attached to it and Welches has kept it on the road for quite a while. Jon, in Ossian, gets credit for most of the work done. I highly recommend them.

Called about a tire, literally within 20 minutes at the close of if business they helped me, and they fit me in. Very professional, great price. Very knowledgeable when I inquired about 4 new tires.

Only problem was a miscommunication over the phone when scheduling a diagnostic. But when my car was ready for pick up they were so awesome about clearing it up and ended up not charging me at all. They were also super fast when figuring out the issues and gave me the cheapest possible quote to fix it. I will keep going to them!

We spent over $2000 there and our car still wasnt fixed. The last thing they were supposed to do was an alignment. My husband was working in Toledo at the time and was headed there and had to stop somewhere to get it aligned it was so bad. The mechanic he took it to said there was no way that car had been aligned. That was about 5 years ago. We cut our losses and have never went back. Since then I had a gentleman from one of the local auto parts stores tell me they only know how to replace parts there. They dont know how to diagnose problems.

Very honest mechanics. We go to these guys for everything. Had an issue with a fuel pump on a mini cooper but were not sure of what it was initially because it was not throwing any codes. We took it to 3 mechanics including the mini dealership in Indy and no one could really help us. Other places charged hundreds of dollars for diagnostics and tests but this place did not charge unless mechanical work was done and would not do work unless it was absolutely necessary. Once we were 100% sure of the problem Welches replaced the fuel pump and had it done in less than 2 hours. Fair prices on oil changes and minor services as well. 5 stars. This place is top notch. Go here.

Great prompt service. Every time I go there they get me in very quickly. I thought one of my tires had a leak in it and they checked it for free and found nothing. I really appreciate their flexibility with appointments.

I took my car to get brakes replaced and the Mechanic Aaron took me into the shop where my car was on lift and explained to me that my brakes are new and in fact didnt need replacement it was just brake dust making the noise I heard so he cleaned my brakes and drums and got my car back together so I could get onto work and told me to have a great weekend and there was no charge. did a great job on my car, they are great people to work with they keep you informed of what is going on with your repairs and are done when they say it is going to be done . I will take all my vehicles to them because they know what they are doing .And will tell all my friends to go there too.

6/23/19 Took my car in with overheating issues and a broken lid latch. Didnt properly fix the lid latch. Only filled up the radiator with coolant. Didnt replace the over flow cap that had blown off. Didnt drive the car around or do any other work to find the source of the overheating. The car was still leaking coolant on the drive 2ish miles back home. When I took it in to ask why no work on the overheating was done the owner didnt have a straight answer. Just a blank stare. Took it to Bluffton Body & Paint. Jason, found my Thermostat needed replaced & it had blown a hole in the radiator. Be warned if going to Welchs. This was the owner that couldnt tell me why he didnt follow procedure for an overheating vehicle.

The boys there rock..i had an emergency tire blowout with belts showing down the road from em..i was late for an appt and even Tho they were busy he jumped right on it and had me back on the road in less than ten min..great place..i didnt even mention they were short the receptionist..and he was training a new guy..2 thumbs up l!
