Retro atmosphere, very cute and peaceful place. I really felt comfortable there
Very clean
Clean, reasonable rates, quiet, ac works great, lots of hot water and there is great plants in the office. The grounds are well maintained as is the parking area. This is a vintage roadside motel. It still has pink tile in the shower. The door was hard to close but my husband jiggled something and it was fine. If the need arises, I will most definitely stay here again.
Great price, good accommodations. Best price in town. Is the decor flawless and brand new? No. But this is a tiny little motel in a tiny little town in Kansas. You want better? Try Wichita, Topeka, or KC, and prepare to pay exponentially more.
DO NOT STAY at this place! I am always one for saving my money and getting a deal but spend the extra money to stay at a different hotel. There was dog poop on the floor when we walked in and multiple black hairs in the bathtub. I very nicely told the lady about it and she was not apologetic about it at all. Will never stay here again!!!
Nice older accomodations. Great for a one night stay.
Tip to traveler: Always check your bed sheets and pillow cases prior to laying down!;)Tip to owner of Welcome Inn: Check your housekeepers work to see if they actually did their job
Treat you like a shady criminal...not very approachable. No water pressure. Tendance that live here not friendly
Never judge a book by its cover has probably never been more true. Doesnt look like a great place from the outside but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The building is old but was well maintained. We just needed a place to stop overnight and for the price and comfort we received it was WAY better than I expected. Would stay there again without hesitation.
Plane Jane no frills good night sleep
A nice place to stay with plenty of room. The front desk was nice and even gave us extra towels when we needed it. 10/10 woyld stay again.
Room was clean showers water pressure was a bit low but clean, and bed was very comfy.
The place is safe and clean!!! Great value. It may be old, but if you are looking for a quiet restful night for a great price, this is it.
Cool
Gross!! Way overpriced for what you get. There were only two choices when we were looking for a place to stay and we decided to gamble and go with the cheaper option, bad idea. Honestly, if you can afford the extra bucks stay at Copa Motel literally right next door. Upon entering the check-in area my brother and I were greeted by the smell of dog pee. It was literally so bad our nose hairs were burning off, no joke. The rooms are way outdated and barely clean, we found dog food on the floor. The heater that is supposed to heat the entire room and it can barely keep up, we cranked it to 86 on high and the room never got above 69 degrees. The only good thing I can say is the beds were pretty comfortable.
We just needed a place to stop for the night with our dog. This place was perfect for us. The woman who checked us in was polite and friendly. Its an older motel and the room was small and dated accordingly but clean and fresh smelling, had a fridge and microwave, desk, small dresser, table and 2 chairs. The bed was comfy. The room was reasonably priced and the pet fee was too. Very quiet. Good location right off the highway with restaurants and a grocery store walking distance. Felt safe walking the dog. Wed certainly stay there again.
Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and extremely helpful and friendly staff...highly recommend
Homily
Good spot to rest on the road. Older but clean and comfortable!
The rooms may be kinda small , and I dont look at it as outdated , but vintage . really nice little mom and pop motel . my wife and I would definitely stay here again . everything worked , bed was comfortable and clean , everything was clean for that matter and in working order . the lady that signed us in was nice and polite , despite the hour we pulled in . much better than most of the pricey motels we have stayed in , certainly cleaner and friendlier people .
Good place to sleep, comfortable bed. More of a homie feel.
Okay to all people who have stayed there.. the owners do live there and they do the best they can I happen to like the "old school keys" I know the family personally... and you are not supposed to use the wall units and the a/c and heater are the same thing if you would have taken the time to look you would have seen it... and the owner also has another job just to make ends meet as her husband the actual former owner has recently past away... i stay there when i want or need a night away from the house.
The hotel appeared to be and smelled clean, but is very dated and a little run down. It was overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Our shower did not have a shower-head, instead the water shot out a simple spigot. The towels were worn-out, the furniture kind of beat up, and the beds made noise with every move, plus there was glitter on one bedspread. The owner also came to the front desk without his shirt on when I went to ask for the internet password. (We think he lives on-site.)Welcome Inn has no website, so here is some information: They do have wireless internet, "free color cable TV" (as their sign advertises), no breakfast or ice machine, vending machines outside the main office, old school physical keys for the door locks, antiquated heater units build into the wall (from the 60s), and AC window units. Know that their sign does not light up at night so you have to look hard to make sure you pull into the right place. The rooms served there purpose if you are looking for just a place to sleep and the owner was friendly. Maybe it was nice 30 years ago when they last updated things, but the cinderblock walls and ancient everything did not entice us into becoming repeat customers in the future.
