Purchased a vehicle from them and was told the brake fluid and tensioners would be replaced as part of the pre sale service, as there was no history of them having been replaced previously - finally after chasing a number of times I have a copy of the pre sale service invoice and non of the work I was told had been done is on the invoice. I have wasted so much of my time trying to get this sorted out which it still isn’t.****AVOID THIS GARAGE****
Fantastic car garage, Im from South wales and have found a gem of s car dealer in wheelers C N, my handler Chris has been amazing the service he has given me has been outstanding, and if I were them Id hold on to him, hes people skills are second no none, the garage itself are very professional and they really do go over their cars with a tooth comb and its so hard to find a trustful garage today but feel totally looked after with this family run business 10 out of 10.

Since owning the BMW i3 we purchased from wheelers I have spent over £3k repairing faulty door handle, rubbers to top of shock absorbers and general poor health and condition of the car despite being told by the salesman that it would be going through their workshop for extensive checks before collecting (yeah right)Only having done 810 miles since ownership in some 2.5 months and only covered 54k in total, was told that they wouldn’t pay main dealer prices, also just had to have the heating/radio control panel replaced as sine the none of the air con buttons lit up, didn’t know this when we test drove as didn’t need the air con on.Have in the last few days been threatened by a solicitor firm that I should have taken the car back to wheelers…..cause I buy a car to keep driving it 49 miles back to them each time!Dreadful experience from what I can only see as a very amateur outfit with Stevie Wonder working in the garage doing the inspection of the carsMy advice STAY AWAY!

A great experience from initial contact to collection. I dealt with Chris who was professional and friendly from the start. He helped me with my initial enquiry and answered the many subsequent questions that I had. Upon collection of the vehicle I was met with a smile, handed the keys and allowed to thoroughly view and test drive the vehicle by myself. This spoke volumes about the way Wheelers do business - no pushy sales and just well presented vehicles. I was also impressed that from initial contact to collection was just 5 days. I visited with my son on Saturday morning.He is 11Years old, and car mad, especially Ford Rangers!We met Chris and had a chat. Purchased a lovely Mercedes’ from Mr. Tommy Temple of Wheelers in Chipping Norton. The car was serviced, mot’d, valeted, plus new tyres, brakes and discs all round. The car was ready for collection on time and the paperwork took minutes. I highly recommend this dealer.
Horrendous experience. I called Wheelers at 9am after seeing a vehicle for sale on their site with exactly the specification that I had been searching for for months. The Sales advisor Chris told me that there had been other interest in the vehicle, and that there was in fact another party to view the vehicle at 5pm. I made an appointment to view the vehicle at 2pm. Strangely Chris would not accept a deposit on this vehicle, but considering the 320 mile round trip I had to make (and a full day off workChris assured me that he would not let anyone else view the vehicle until after my appointment. I arrived at 2pm on the nose, only to find someone had just bought it FROM CHRIS, and was actually signing the relevant paperwork as I was patiently waiting to view the vehicle. This was no mistake here, and Chris accepted he shouldnt have broken the agreement that we had, and just said "I know its wrong, but Ive done it".Although I dont know it for sure, It was suggested to me that the customer had given Chris more money to get the purchase. I wrote a detailed complaint letter to the director, but he was completely blasé about it all and made no attempt the explain why Chris had done this. I was offered £50 for compensation, which wouldnt have even covered fuel, never mind a full lost day at work, and one of the most stressful experiences of my life. I refused the £50 on principle. This is not the kind of behaviour youd expect from company with glowing reviews.
Found Wheelers good to deal with, sent me a video of the vehicle paying attention to areas Id asked to see. I travelled from York as it was the right vehicle and it was as described. Gave me time to look over and test drive as had all been done over the phone. Tom and Chris both a pleasure to deal with and it was worth the journey.

My wife and I were looking for a new car and were struggling to decide on which car we wanted due to different factors in the market, suitability etc. Ben provided exceptional customer service and helped us today and allowed us to test drive a BMW i3 in a friendly, non pushy manner. He also provided very knowledgable advise to us regarding cars even though he knew we were very earlier on in our process and not ready to commit to a car purchase.He is a credit to his profession and I just wish all salespeople were like him. If we find a car we like at wheelers, we would not hesitate to buy for them!

Bought a Jaguar XF just before Christmas and the service has been fantastic! Ben in the sales team was great and the after service has been spot on. Had an issue with the battery not charging and also the rear door locking mechanism not working. Both faults have been resolved under purchase warranty without hesitation. I contacted Wheelers regarding a Mercedes C Class, I wanted to reserve the vehicle, I was told they can only hold the car for 24 hours for £99 pounds, however, the earliest I could get there was within 48 hours, later it was agreed they would hold the car for a deposit of £500 for me, to visit within 48 hours. They told me to pay the deposit by the end of the day, as they left me with a dilemma of viewing the car before prep or visiting once the car was ready in a weeks time. I then called an hour later to place the deposit and I was told that the car had been sold. Even after communicating with the dealer for the previous 5 hours, I was then rudely told that i dont know what happened, my colleague sold the car, which I then queried to be told we are too busy, we sell 120 cars a month. Very disappointed in the service and communication, especially when there is only two sales persons working, as well as the manner in which I was told the car had been sold.
Visited Wheelers car sales today with all the intentions of purchasing a car. We already had a car in mind as we had seen it online. We arrived at their dealership and viewed the car which my partner loved. We then test drove the car which was also fine. We then sat down and attempted to purchase the car and it was a nightmare. We ideally wanted to drive it away today as we had travelled an hour to view it. We were told this would not be possible as they like to inspect and carry out any necessary repairs before the cars are taken. Seemed fair enough. I did say I was happy to take the car as it is but was still told no. I then asked if we could collect next week. Told possibly but didnt know. Was looking more like some time in the next year! We decided to leave the car and not purchase as it just seemed too difficult to actually get the car. Left feeling very frustrated and disappointed really. They missed a very easy sale. Obviously dont need the sales.
I Would like to personally thank Chris for a pleasant and hassle free purchase of my new vehicle. He was true to his word and the car was fully prepared to Wheelers high standards as he promised it would be. Sold my car to Wheelers and found them honest, fair to deal with and a easy transaction. Being a "local" I preferred to give them the business, and would do so again. Tom was the sales guy I dealt with, good bloke.
My overall experience was poor, but i need to add more detailSales - on the whole very good, Chris is a very nice chap to deal with and did everything he said he would, cant fault my experience at all with Chris.collection day, I was told the valeters would need 4 hours to get the car ready for collection, for me it seems they needed only 4 mins as the car had water streaks down the side and the pan roof was dirty on the inside along with tailgate rear window on the inside, looks like a wet dog had been in the back!!On collection the spare tyre sensor was alerting that the tyre had inadequate tyre pressure, annoyingly this could not be reset, and should have been dealt with prior to collection. a couple of other faults materialised over the first 2 weeks of ownership, a quick call nito Chris and he scheduled the car in to have this fixed.This is where my bad experience started, car was collected, courtesy car was provided, on the first night the car was back at Wheelers my tracker was pinging me to inform me the car was being driven around the chipping norton area, & according to the stop at various locations it certainly didnt look like a test drive and if it was it was a very long with with some recreational stop offs shall we say!!! - all of this without my consent, at one stage i thought it was stolen!!The response i got from Andy was nothing less than disrespectful, and i assume that maybe running errands in customer cars is ok????? i am pleased they have carried out the work that they have under warranty, but i am very very unhappy with the experience i have had and the total lack of respect for my vehicle and my custom.The car is not fixed, the noise is still there, all you have done is fixed 1 issue which is the tyre pressure sensor, used half a tank of my diesel, used my car for errands, happy to share the screenshots as i am sure you are not test driving the car at 19.30 in the evening, with stops at a public house etc!! after sales service is appalling.....
Although we didnt end up purchasing our vehicle from Wheelers, the service was great. Chris was very professional, knew what he was talking about and at no point was he pushy, nor did he pester me for a decision. Definitely recommend these guys, great service from start to finish. We were interested in a particular car but were an hour away. Chris was very helpful and made the whole experience seamless. Even went and put his nose in the car to check there wasn’t an odd smell (we’d just viewed one elsewhere that did and didn’t want a wasted journey!). Really happy with the purchase, exactly as described and runs great. They’ve got a nice selection particularly 4x4s which is what we bought.

Outstanding service from this very reputable company. I had never previously bought a car online but Chris explained the process very clearly throughout and kept me updated. The boss even delivered the Land Rover to my address in London, which was so helpful.The vehicle is in immaculate condition, thoroughly checked and valeted. The staff at Wheelers Chipping Norton Ltd were excellent. They sorted out everything with my car which was delivered in excellent condition. The staff were friendly and helpful and responded very promptly to my questions via text or on the phone.My only minor niggle was that it was an electric car and theyd gone to the trouble of switching out the number plate for a "Wheelers Chipping Norton" branded one, but that they had not made it the new "green" number plate. This meant I had to replace the number plates again myself at Halfords for the green versions.
I bought an Audi from Wheelers and had problem after problem. They kept telling me the car was running well. I eventually took the car to another garage who told me that I was sold a car that wasn’t road worthy. I was told it needed a new engine. I was horrified and very upset. I phoned wheelers to explain that this isn’t good enough. I was told it’s gone past 6 months and I don’t have a leg to stand on. The owners son told me “what do you expect for an old car” this car cost me £6000. The whole experience has left me feeling mentally drained. Anyone thinking of using these sharks, please don’t
Id endorse Wheelers Chipping Norton Ltd because from start to finish they acted with complete openness, politeness and respect for me. There was not a hint of slick salesmanship, just straight communication giving me a sense of trust and reassurance. The salesman was able to answer all our questions withut hesitation or bias. This is a local firm of good standing in the town, a factor that is important to me as far as trustworthiness and reputation go. I was given ample time to make my decision, including the chance to have a drive without oversight from the seller. At no stage did I feel any pressure to buy. The car was delivered to me 10 days later in perfect condition. It was delivered by the previous Managing Director, now retired, who likes to meet customers who have used the firm and talk with them. Such enthusiasm for the firm even after retirement gives a great feeling of trust. I would not hesitate to go back to them in future.
The whole experience of buying online, although scary was simple and easy. I contacted Wheelers and once purchased, it was just a case of waiting for the vehicle to be delivered.It arrived clean, a bit of fuel in it, and on the back of a low loader.The customer service was exceptional, even though there was no bargaining on the price, which is fair enough.The garage very kindly MOTd and serviced the vehicle and cleared all advisories.Since having the vehicle for 3 weeks, I have had to have all 4 wheels balanced (it appears the rear tyres were changed as part of the advisories, but not balanced). The wiper blades needed changing (squeaked like a banchee), changed the wheel arch trims as they were perished, and the washer bottle was virtually empty.The problem with buying online is that you cant see it in person and kick the tyres. I was told the body work was in perfect condition even though there is visible damage to the rear bumper where someone didnt pay attention to the reversing camera.Experience wise, I really cant complain, the sales process was second to none.I would still recommend Wheelers, even after my experience. Its my own fault for not going to kick the tyres.
Dreadful experience. They were efficient when it came to taking my deposit but thats where the service ended. It took two weeks to prepare the car and during that time I had to chase for updates. When we arrived to pick it up, it was filthy. There were food crumbs, grime on the instruments and a strange adhesive residue on the front windscreen and dash. When you step into your potential new car, you shouldnt have to think about the cost of getting it clean! Not what I expected and the polar opposite of the service I received from the garage I bought my car from the following week. Oh and they didnt charge a service fee!
Was apprehensive of buying a car online. Great customer service from Tommy; sent videos of the vehicle and assured me of the process and the safety measures in place. Delivered to our home address 150 miles away by Danny (great lad). On delivery, I identified some things that I wasnt happy with. Vehicle was collected, the issues were addressed and corrected with no arguments and delivered back to me within the week. Great quality vehicle which Im now really happy with. Amazing staff who suited to all my needs (there was a lotand especially Tommy (Tomwho saw that i got the best car in my price range, the car i brought wasnt even in the garage yet so he informed me of upcoming stock. 5 stars for a 5 star car dealer and a 5 star Tommy!
We went with Wheelers as wanted to support local and had heard good things and that they had a good reputation, unfortunately in our experience this is not the case. Bought a Range Rover- advertised as “mint condition “ no problems stated on the listing and due to covid you can’t view so took their word for it due to their apparent good reputation. They had it for a week after sale to check it over and service it and put MOT etc on so we were surprised when they delivered it that the back bumper was hanging off, scapes along the arch, scratches on the bonnet, DAB radio didn’t work, interior speaker wasn’t working and interior lights didn’t come on at night. Lots of issues for a mint condition car! Can’t believe my new car was presented to me in this state!!I thought maybe radio and lights just needed resetting/tuning so tried to do this myself but no success. It went back on the Monday for them to fix the issues ( which they agreed to do).A week later, with not much communication ( we had to chase themand a very lazy attitude to get it done, they couldn’t fix the radio and speaker- no suggestions as to how they would rectify it!!Bad attitudes, bad communication and falsely advertising a car as excellent condition when it wasn’t and not to mention the list of errors it was delivered with!! So we sent car back and got a full refund. After speaking with other professionals it suggests a bigger problem with the electrics.Really disappointed doesn’t come close. If buying from them, view before you buy, go through everything with a fine tooth comb-not a trust worthy garage.They have now re-listed the vehicle,advertised the same- mint condition! Maybe they have miraculously solved the electrical issue?????
Id definitely recommend Wheelers Chipping Norton Ltd because I received a very good service. I had to buy a car during lockdown by "click and collect". The salesman was very patient while I made up my mind about the car over the phone. I had arranged to collect the car but on the day it was so cold that my arranged lift could not take me to the garage and they arranged for the car to be delivered at short notice. Although I had not seen or examined the car, nor had the opportunity of a test drive, I am very satisfied with it. Very good family-based service provided at a difficult time.
Living locally to Chipping Norton I was in need of a good used vehicle and didnt want to travel to far in lockdown. Wheelers had a car that fitted my requirements, a Volvo V70 D4 and offered me a fair price for my Mercedes E-Class. As this was all being arranged via email and would be a click and collect purchase I was a little apprehensive. The car I purchased took a week to be ready for collection, it needed to be serviced, basic oil and filter service, mot and two new tyres. They also arranged the finance for me and got me a very good deal, especially as my bank had turned me down as I am self-employed and finance has almost dried up for people who are s/e due to covid. Handover went well and Tom was waiting for me and the click and collect only took a few minutes. The only criticism I would say is that communication could be a little better post sale with regards to collection and in my case they forgot to hand over the 3 month warranty and I had to chase which took a couple of weeks. Overall I am very please with the car, which is in pristine condition for a nearly 6 year old car, drives well and everything works well. I would certainly purchase another car from here again and my father also purchased a car from here several years ago which also proved to be a good buy.
