Wichita Visit Exchange Program in Sedgwick County

First 3 months was good, however, workers were deceptive and disrespectful towards me as a client. After my divorce became final, they harassed me through hired social workers to follow and record me and my childrens conversations. Then they lied and told me that the social workers were assigned supervisors that worked for the exchange program but when I looked at the other families that were visiting, they were not being followed and recorded. Also, the program policy did not indicate that a worker must formally sit at the table during visitations nor did it mention a requirement to record the clients conversations.

The building may not be the newest. The staff may not have the latest equipment in modern technology. However, the message that the exchange program portrays to the community is strong like no other. Unfortunately, Wichita is a city in which fathers draw the short end of the stick, when it comes to parental cases. In court the strongest form of evidence will always be a mothers tears and not factual evidence of the shameful acts mothers commit.I am not from your state and had been trying to see my children for nearly a year. The only thing standing in my way was lies of a vengeful woman. My children and I are grateful that this VEP exists and my words cant describe how grateful I am to have been able to see my babies again. It broke my heart when they saw me at the door they immediately recognized me and with tears in their eyes they ran up to give me a hug.More places like this should exist and it is evident from the reviews that its those same hateful mothers leaving degrading comments. This place allows for neutral grounds for parents to be able to see their kids. To the staff, thank you for all your hard work and for being a voice to the children who wish to see their parents.

They do what they can to make a high stress situation as easy as possible. They genuinely care about the kids.

Was assigned this location by Sedco. Incredibly unprofessional location. The workers kids are running around. They notify one parent of the visitation but not the other. They admitted to not knowing how to work the recording equipment for the visitations. Just a mess of a place.

Racist group of people. Some workers are nice but they don’t take notes, don’t keep appointments and can be very rude.

Don’t recommend. They have rules and guidelines and don’t follow them.
