Tap beer variety has shrunk :( ... staff generally friendly, food tasty and the views are very good.

Booked in person at lunchtime for a 7pm booking, I was promised the lounge area as we wanted to watch the footy, when we turned up we were seated at a table in the corner. Ordered prawn and chorizo skewers $30 and steaks (m/weach skewer had only one prawn on and a tiny piece of chorizo, the steaks came out rare, inedible and low quality meat $50 tough and tendinous.. we did get a 10% discount but with heavily over inflated prices as it is, its hardly decent compensation.. would have preferred to pay for a decent experience.

Best food in Thredbo. Loved it!

Overall an extremely poor experience last night with the family at Zacks Grill Thredbo. Initially we were told a few menu items unavailable before ordering. Then when we ordered we were told the kitchen declined to cook the tomahawk steak as we had a late sitting and it took 1-1.5hours to cook. A few minutes after we had ordered the waitress returned to tell us several more menu items that we had ordered were unavailable.We were then served a wrong order by a waiter. When we gave it back to the waitress she told us since it had already been put down on our table she couldnt take it to the other table so she may as well leave it there. After the dish was sitting on our table for a few minutes with us all talking and reaching over it the waiter came back and took it. When the waitress told him he couldnt take it as its on our table. He said "yes, we can" and directly put on another table.Finally, when the bill came we had been overcharged about $300. After Tyler, the manager corrected the bill and I paid for it, all he said was "do you need a receipt?" Before I left the restaurant I said to Tyler "You really should apologize", he asked why he should apologize when the reason they gave us the bill was for us to check so they could fix it.Tyler only apologized when my son reminded him that taking a dish sitting on our table for several minutes before giving it to other customers directly was a very wrong thing to do, especially during Covid.

Food was extremely overpriced with small servings for absurd prices e.g $46 for 8 pieces of calamari with 6 paper thin slices of watermelon. Service was horrendous as it took 20 minutes for us to get any waiter to our table after arriving, and 15 minutes between ordering food then drinks. The most shocking part was that 1 of the 2 waiters for the entire restaurant spent half the time chatting up a single table, flirting with them. This led to us waiting nearly 20 mins to get our bill as we watched the waiter talk to the table beside us about topics such as fishing and surfing, rather than doing their job. Food was $345 for 3 kids and 2 adults with only 4 of the cheapest mains on the menu, 2 entrees and one non-alcoholic drink per person. Worst restaurant we had been to in years: completely disorganised and ridiculously overpriced.

$180 steak tasted like charcoal. Advertised to be 500g but definitely wasnt.

Not family friendly despite being in the middle of a family holiday spot.

Enjoyed the most wonderful dinner last night with the family at Zacks Grill Thredbo. Right from the Welcome from Tyler and his team, to the service with menus, drinks, food selection. The food was sensational. Nice large serves, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. But what makes this was Tyler.. so attentive to all the guests in the restaurant, knowledgeable, able to read clients, great with kids and adults and his staff all follow the same and are attentive and happy like him. Best dining experience in Thredbo, and looking forward to going back again in a few nights!

I don’t know how the reviews are so wrong to my experience here!! Arrived for a 5 pm booking, ordered quite quickly, then waited nearly 2 hours for our meals, of which my $70 Hangar steak was like 5 mouthfuls. Once finished we asked for the desert menu only to be told they are sorry but since the kitchen took so long to deliver our meals we can not offer you deserts as we now need your table. Don’t bother for the terrible service an meals are over priced!!

Can’t recommend this highly enough. There was a group of us who dined here and everybody raves about their meal. The ambience is lovely and welcoming. The customer service was superb; engaging, attentive, humorous and informative. The quality of the good was superb and the menu options vast and interesting. Unique flavors such as watermelon with calamari was tantalizingly awesome. They stocked local beers and the other standard fare if drinks you are used to. It us on the first floor and does not have a lift. The pricing of the meals is equitable with the rest of the restaurants in the resort. You will need to book.

Really nice dining experience!

I went to Zack’s last night with my partner and step son and it was so much better than I could have anticipated. We ordered the garlic bread, slow cooked ribs, Moroccan lamb meatballs and the steak with mash. All the dishes were beyond exceptional. Our waiter Tyler was so friendly, attentive and up for a good chat. So much so that we stayed for dessert as well. Will be back for sure!

Hands down the best grill Ive ever been to!~$45-55 per adultThe Wagyu Eye Fillet was perfect. It was of very high quality, was perfectly seasoned and was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes that went with the Wagyu were also perfect. It had the perfect consistency and taste. It was nether too dry nor too dilute and was seasoned and buttered to perfection. The Broccolini and Mini Carrot also were delicious and yet did not have their original vegie taste "seasoned" or "buttered" out of them (a good thing). They had just enough butter to make them taste good instead of like traditional steamed veggies.Our service was quick, efficient, polite and our server gave off the impression that he really did enjoy serving us.The music was perfect and the decore was good and would be very good if the lights were ~15% brighter and perfect if their was 1-2 more pieces of art.Overall: 9/10 with a possible 10/10 if the lights were ~20% brighter and their was 1-2 more pieces or art on the wall.

Great food, reasonably priced. Highly recommended but book first to get a table.

Could not tell you what the food tasted like as it never came. We waited 50 minutes before enquiring about how much longer it would be.The waiter’s response was: “how long do you usually wait for food?”, but also could not tell us how much longer we would be waiting.They did try to make up for the lack of food by offering a complimentary drink (hence the 1 starbut we politely refused as at this point, we could no longer trust the place.We then left.Another bizarre thing was that we originally tried to make a reservation and were told it was fully booked. We were called back and told a table had become available. When we arrived it was at around 20% capacity.Honestly and realistically, this place is simply bad.

Delicious dinner spot in the heart of Thredbo. Fantastic food, lovely staff and a really cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Zack personally met us at the door warmly welcomed us in. We had walked a fair way with many restaurants being closed for service as they were between lunch and dinner. Zack apologised for not being able to serve us food either, but offered us many warm and delicious drinks to heat our hands around whilst we waited.After preparing a really excellent selection of gins, warmed wines, hot ciders and schnapps we were treated to a bowl of some of the best hot fries, as he managed to snag one from the kitchen with a cheeky grin.We felt like the only customers in the establishment and very well taken care of.I was also very impressed with the enthusiasm and depth of knowledge Zack had in regards to all the drinks offered. Its rare to have a person who owns the place be so well integrated and invested in the experience. We really appreciated it.The menu was excellent and offers some top quality food. Im disappointed we didnt have time for a 2nd visit and meal back!Highly recommended. The staff and establishment were more than welcoming and accommodating to our needs.
